   Summary

   Acknowledged, came through the bond, quiet and distant and frighteningly cold; unattached; disinterested. A flower withered. He could feel it shrinking, taste the ash in his mouth as the bud fell to the ground and the stem shrivelled between his teeth.

   OR;
   Hanahaki is a dreadful disease, as old as life itself, and now it threatens to take Wilbur's.

   Thankfully, Philza knows exactly what his fledgeling needs – love. Love he'll always have, just so long as the person with the power to take it away dies before she can.

   He has no issue with that.
