Chapter Text
“Nothing” Noah sighed. He has already scrolled through all the websites for finding jobs and yet he couldn't find anything that he had experience with or at least something he was interested in. Last job he had was as a manager for the Chris McLean himself, he got fired tho and still can't quite figure out the reason.
Noah closed all the windows on his computer and opened up his phone; mindless scrolling began. Phones sure track your activities and search history because all of his ads were about job opportunities. Most of them were just some part-time jobs. Noah ignored them until an awful looking ad popped up.
It was just some gradient background with big text that says 'Be a manager for upcoming pop band' and a stock image of a business man holding a laptop in on hand. Noah snickered at the design. He had taken some classes that had to do with graphic design so he knew a thing or two about a good design. Despite the ad being ridiculously bad, he sent an email to the person whose email address was linked to the ad.

Dear Harold McGrady,
I've seen your online advertisement that you're looking to hire a manager for an upcoming pop band. I'd like to know if the offer is still open.
Sincerely
Noah Serecra
Noah got a reply almost immediately. The response wasn't very professional, but he wasn't expecting it to be in the first place.
Hi noah! The offer is still open. Do you want to be our manager?
Noah rolled his eyes and typed a formal response.
Hello.
Yes, I'd like to apply for this job.
I'm attaching a file with my CV for you to see if I have every skill for the job.
Noah
Noah didn't think much of it when he sent his CV, but he definitely didn't think he'll get email back within a minute.
Looks good man! Youre hired
Noah was second-guessing his choice to be these guys' manager, but he figured he'll work for the. For about a month until he founds (if he does) a new job. Noah left to get himself a snack and just as he came back he heard a notification ring come from his phone. He picked it up to see he got a new mail.
Dear, Noah.
I'd like to apologise for the unprofessional emails you got as our response. It was one of my band members who was responding to you. Therefore, I've read half of your CV and I'd like to say you seem like a perfect guy for the job and I'm glad to say you're hired! You can start on Monday, our studio's address is on our Instagram profile.
Warm regards
Harold
Now that's more like it! Noah responded just thanking them for the job. Noah inhaled and exhaled while look up at the ceiling then gazed at the clock on his left wall. It was 6.30 PM. On Friday. And he had nothing to do. Noah quickly got up put his shoes on, locked his apartment door and left the building.
Fresh spring evening air breezed through his hair and on his skin. After about 10 minutes of walking he finally got to the place he wanted - the Buddy Sweets, store owned by Noah's best friend Owen. He opened the entrance door, small bell rang right above the door as a signal a new customer came in. No one was there since Owen usually closes at 6PM, but he forgets to lock the door afterwards.
“Sorry! We are close!” a breathless male voice disclaimed from the room behind the counter.
“Don't worry, buddy! Not here for the sweets!” Noah shouted back. Soon after a tall, blonde, heavy guy rushed from the backroom to the counter. He was delighted to see his friend, so much that he hopped over the counter to grab and hug Noah whose respondee with a pat on the back. After a tight hug, heavy guy put Noah back down.
“How come you came here, Noah?” Owen excitedly asked
“I had nothing to do since I found a job.” the shorted guy brushed it off like it wasn't important.
“You found a job? That's awesome, man!” Owen squeaked.
“Yeah, I guess...” Noah looked down kind of in thoughts.
“What is it? Is something wrong?”
“It's just that... I'll be a manager for this small pop band and they... They aren't very professional” Noah growled
“Well, they are a small band. They don't have a lot of experience, that's all there is. You don't have to worry, I'm sure they'll turn out great!” tall friend tried to comfort him while he gave him a small kick in the shoulder.
“Yeah.. I guess you're right..” Noah sighed and directed Owen a small but genuine smile. He usually didn't really care much about jobs, but there was something that was itching him about this band manager thing he just couldn't get ahold of.
