At first, Selene thought it was a great idea.
Now, she’s not so sure.
Spending time with her long-distance girlfriend? Fantastic. Wonderful even. Spending time with her girlfriend in a cute, romantic spot at night ?
Oh boy.
“Can I open my eyes yet?” Lillie asks, and Selene glances over at her. She’s smiling, her eyes closed, and looks at peace. Selene thinks she looks amazing.
“Not yet,” she says, looking forward again. She guides Lillie over a hill, then a few feet further forward. “Okay, you can open them.”
Selene hears Lillie gasp quietly and hopes that she chose a good spot.
In front of them was a vast field of flowers, all blooming in the night sky. The flowers were all white, almost shining with the reflection of the moon. Around them, wild nocturnal Pokémon roamed, occasionally stopping to investigate the flowers.
“They’re moon lilies ,” Selene whispers nervously. She really hopes that she didn’t mess up. “Get it?”
And Lillie laughs quietly, taking in the scene around them. Selene looks over at her, and her nerves disappear.
“They’re beautiful,” Lillie says. Selene stares at Lillie and thinks she looks breathtaking.
“Yeah, they are.” She says quietly, never taking her eyes off her.
