Chapter Text
You were never a fan of parties. Loud noises, crowded places, people vomiting on the floor, it was torture for you. But your sister, Madi, had been begging you to come with her. Phrases like "It will be fun!" or "You will meet my friends!" came out of her mouth so excitedly that you couldn't refuse. "It will only be one night. I'll go, I'll take care of my sister, I'll try not to get in trouble and I'll go. It's easy" you thought, trying to calm you down.
As you imagined the place was packed with people you didn't know, but somehow they all still looked the same. You couldn't see anything.
"Yo!" you heard Madi say as she took your hand, guiding you. "Chris, Nick, Matt, this is my sister", you extended your hand to greet them with a smile.
Although the 3 looked similar you could tell differences between them. Their hair, their eye shape, their smile... it wasn't the same. You were lost in your thoughts trying to decipher the similarities between them until you were interrupted by the voice of who you assumed was Chris.
"Madi, you never told us much about your sister, you never introduced her to me", he said jokingly with a smirk.
"What are you talking about? I told you I had one! She's a bit shy, that's why I never introduced her to you, you were going to scare her", Madi joked. The 4 laughed and you just smiled trying to let yourself go.
You lost your sister, again. You honestly knew that she and her friends would get drunk, but you didn't think it would be so bad, and yet you lost her in the crowd. While you were sneaking through the multitude and pushing people, a familiar voice called your name.
"Where the fuck were you?" Chris said, holding out the u's. You could tell he was drunk.
"I was looking for my sister. Where the fuck is she?", you asked.
"Oh god, she was looking for you too! I mean, she was for a few minutes before she started drinking", Chris said calmly as if he was high.
"How much did she drink? Does she feel alright? We should go home" you said worried.
"Yesss.. Madi is okay, she's dancing with Nick. Why are you worrying so much? You're at a party, not a fucking funeral" he said, as if everything was so simple.
"I don't like this fucking party, I don't know these fucking people, and I don't like my fucking sister getting drunk, so you better move your ass and help me find h-"
"Let's dance" Chris interrupted, ignoring the whole monologue you just said
"W-, Excuse me?" you said surprised. "Are you kidding?"
"Don't be so tense please, Madi wouldn't want that during a party" he said with a thoughtless smile.
"Chris, whatever joke you're making is not funny. You're drunk, don't do stupid things."
"I'll help you find your sister, I swear. But first, dance with me" he said coming closer to your face, choking you on his breath full of alcohol and a pleading look.
Sometimes you wished you weren't so easy to convince because, the same way your sister convinced you to come to this party, Chris convinced you to dance with him.
As soon as you agreed, Chris had already put his hands on your waist. He flipped over so that your back was pressed to his chest, placing his head on your shoulder. You froze in place, unable to move due to his sudden movement.
"Relax" he murmured in your ear, and you did. You closed your eyes, getting carried away by the music, trying to imitate Chris's movements to a strangely slow song. Your head fell back onto his chest, exposing your neck where he ended up hiding his head.
For a few seconds you disconnected from reality. Any worries about your sister, or how drunk Chris was drifted away and your mind went blank. The only thing that mattered to you at that moment was how good the warmth of his chest felt against you. All the noises and screams around disappeared, you felt like you could fall asleep.
Or that was until the song changed. You opened your eyes and no, you were not calm. The loud noises hadn't gone away, your worries returned and once again you felt on the verge of a panic attack.
"The song changed. I've done my part, now help me find Madi" you said to Chris, who was also about to fall asleep on you.
"Mmmh.. no, she'll be back in a while, let me enjoy you" he answered back in an intoxicating voice. You almost folded, but quickly picked yourself up and refused.
"Fine, let's find her, but I'm going to kill her when I find her for ruining the moment".
After a few minutes going through people looking for your sister, fortunately you found her with Nick and Matt.
"Hey! There you are!" Madi said happily in a drunken tone. "We were already planning to leave, we were just looking for you two."
"True, where were you guys? Did you dance together?" Nick added in the same state as Madi.
"Actually, we d-" Chris was about to say but you interrumpted him. "Madi I told you not to go away. Can we go now?", you didn't mean to sound annoying but you'd had enough of the party.
"Sure! The party was getting boring anyway. Matt you'll drive us?" she asked.
"I, uhhh... sure bro" he replied insecure.
"Absolutely not. You 4 are drunk and I don't want to crash and die" you said. "I'll drive."
