Summary
“It’s so hot,” Kaveh whines, her voice pitching into a high whine. Alhaitham rolls her eyes, swatting away at the vines in front of her with her sword. It is hot, and humid. She can feel sweat dripping down her neck, curving down her spine beneath her shirt, but complaining isn’t going to help anything.
“Wasting your breath complaining is counterproductive, you know,” Alhaitham shoots back over her shoulder, and she doesn’t miss the way Kaveh flips her off.
