Third Person's POV

" Love- dovey couples, everywhere; all around the earth."

Jihyo, also known as Cupid, the goddess of love, is currently resting on a cloud, sipping a cup of coffee and watching how lovers act so much into each other.

She had just finished matchmaking two couples yesterday. She couldn't help but snort at that one guy for being too timid to even ask the girl she likes on a date. He's good-looking, even.

But like Jihyo always says, it's her job to give them the courage to fall in love with each other.

And that is by shooting magical arrows to where there hearts are located.

"Delivery for Ms. Cupid!" Another god suddenly landed on top of the cloud where Jihyo's sitting on, making the latter stand up and approach her fellow god.

"Mercury? Don't tell me I have to work again on my day off." The god named Mercury just grinned at her.

"Damn right, Cupid. You should've known that the word day off is non-existent for us gods. Especially you since it's Valentine's Day Eve today."

Jihyo sighed as she took the bag of arrows from Mercury's hands.

"4 pairs of arrows. Color coded this time." Jihyo smiled at hearing that from the god of messenger. She remembered when the arrows weren't color coded yet, accidentally matchmaking two grown-up men who worked from an entertainment company.

"Good to know that they're listening to their employee this time. God, I can't forget that time I had match Mr. YG and Mr. JYP because of non-color coded arrows. I literally had to guess who pairs with who."

Mercury laughed, remembering the past scenario.

"I hope you're happy with the change. Anyway, Jihyo, those arrows won't pierce through their hearts on their own. You better get going."

Jihyo sighed at his words, "How I wish they'd just do that on her own. Maybe next upgrade would matchmake two couples by the arrows themselves. Give me hope."

"I'll give you hope but you're gonna lose your job." The god of messenger chuckled, "I still have to deliver a message to my father, Jupiter. See ya next delivery, Cupid!"

And just like that, Mercury flew away. Jihyo finished her cup of coffee before putting on the arrow bag and flying down to the earth.

"Let's see... Myoui Mina and Son Chaeyoung." Jihyo mumbled to herself, looking at the list of paper she had of the people she's going to matchmake.

Her eyes spotted the people she's looking for at a nearby school campus and immediately flew to where their direction is.

The short girl, Chaeyoung, is currently making a clay pot on a pottery wheel machine while the one who will be matchmake with her, Mina, is watching her from a stool close to her.

"They look so sweet already. But I guess every relationship could use some work." Jihyo took one red-colored arrow and shot Mina through her heart.

The arrow and Mina's eyes glowed for a second, indicating that it worked.

Jihyo took the other pair of arrow and focused her aim towards Chaeyoung's heart this time.

Jihyo waited for the short girl to stopped working on the clay pot for a moment so that the latter could turn around. Once the moment came, Jihyo released the arrow and perfectly shot Chaeyoung on her heart.

Just like what happened to Mina earlier, both Chaeyoung's eyes and the arrow that pierced through her, glowed. Then, an invisible string appeared from the rear end of both arrow, connecting the pair together.

And just like that, Chaeyoung went back to her work, surprisingly messing up the clay pot she was working on due to the sudden felt of distraction from her friend.

"Do you need some help?" Mina stood up from her seat, looking at the struggling younger.

"Sure. I don't know what happened. I suddenly felt my mind go blank for a second."

Mina went behind Chaeyoung, her arms almost wrapping around the latter, as she tried to help her finish the clay pot.

"Is this okay?"

"Y-yeah..." Chaeyoung found herself blushing in Mina's arms.

Her blush only grew more when Mina placed her hands on top of Chaeyoung's. Noticing how the younger's body heat went up with her actions, Mina couldn't help but smile.

With a sudden urge, the older planted a kiss on Chaeyoung's right cheek, making both of their heart race.

Jihyo smiled at the sight, "Good. Three more to go."

The cupid flew away from the scene, letting the two have their moment together as she looked for the three more pairs of people she needs to matchmake.

"Next, Im Nayeon and Yoo Jeongyeon."

Jihyo flew around the campus to look for those two. Upon entering the school's gymnasium, she saw a short-haired brunette wearing a black hoodie and cap, holding a tennis racket while following a rolling tennis ball towards the backstage. The goddess immediately predicted it was Jeongyeon; and she didn't fail.

Jeongyeon walked inside the backstage, which Jihyo followed suit. As she entered, she also spotted another student, which was Nayeon.

"This is my chance!" Jihyo thought and smirked, aiming for Nayeon's heart first.

Releasing the arrow from her hand, she successfully struck Nayeon to where her heart is located.

Jihyo turned towards Jeongyeon's directed but the latter's already walking outside. The cupid hurriedly aimed her arrow towards the short-haired girl's heart but was distracted when someone suddenly walked inside the backstage.

"Nayeon! Practice starts in 5 minutes!"

"I'll be there, Irene! Just wait a minute!"

Jihyo unconsciously let go of the arrow, completely missing her shot on Jeongyeon. Instead, the arrow struck Nayeon again, the invisible string showing up and connecting the pair of arrows together.

Nayeon's and the arrows glowed as the girl looked into the mirror.

"Looking good today, Nayeon. Like you always do!" Nayeon then blew a kiss in front of the mirror for... herself?

Jihyo shook her head as she watched Nayeon strike different poses in front of the mirror, getting more ridiculous each time she pose differently.

"I know self-love's important, but what the hell?" Jihyo rolled her eyes and went closer to the now 'lovestruck with herself' girl.

The goddess got a grip of one of the arrows, desperately trying to take the other one off so she could get out of this mess.

After a few attempt of desperate pulls, Jihyo finally took one of the arrows off. Quickly, she dragged the arrow with her to Jeongyeon. Once she got close to her, she immediately put the arrow on the brunette's heart.

The practice for the theater club started, which made Jeongyeon turned her head towards the direction of the stage.

Jihyo watched as both Jeongyeon's eyes and the arrow glow as the latter looked at the person who was matched with her.

"Whoa. When did she got so good at acting?" Jeongyeon mumbled to herself which the cupid could clearly hear.

Jihyo just sighed, proud of her self for correcting her mistake. She watched Jeongyeon look at Nayeon in awe before proceeding to her the next pair.

Hirai Momo and Chou Tzuyu

Searching for the pair didn't take Jihyo that long. She found them by the drama club. Another short-haired girl wearing a yellow dress was having her make-up fixed while the taller one wearing a suit and had her hair tied in a ponytail was taking selfies.

Too impatient to get the job done, Jihyo struck the two in the heart with a pair of yellow arrows as fast as she can, earning a glow from both of their eyes and arrows.

Tzuyu started taking a video and talked, pointing at Momo while proudly saying, "That is the girl I love."

"How bold." Jihyo smiled.

After getting her make-up done, Momo approached Tzuyu and hugged her from behind without a word, but clearly blushing from hearing her statement earlier.

Finally 'done' with her job, Jihyo flew away from the scene and back to her place.

Feeling tired, she immediately drifted to sleep, completely forgetting one more pair of purple arrows of her bag.

The next day, Valentine's Day finally came. Jihyo looked happy seeing couples happily spending time with their partners.

The goddess of love decided to watch the Valentine's Day event on the school campus. Her smile grew as soon as she saw Mina and Chaeyoung in the hallways.

Chaeyoung had the clay pot, now colored and designed appropriately for the occasion, with flowers inside, handing it to Mina with her cheeks turning pink.

Mina gladly accepted the younger's gift and gave her a kiss on the cheek before they walked together around, holding hands.

After watching the two, Jihyo decided to go to the school's gymnasium where a drama play was being held.

There, she saw Momo and Tzuyu acting together; Or in this case, dancing.

Jihyo watched as the two get sparkles in their eyes whenever they met each other's.

After the play, she saw the pair kissed each other on the lips in the backstage, announcing to the other actors that they would be dating each other and thinking of making it official after a few dates.

The students that acted together for the play went back onstage to give their remarks and bowed in front of the audience.

As the actors went downstage Jeongyeon gave Nayeon a bouquet of flowers while the latter kissed her cheek as a thank you. The short-haired girl asked the older out on a date which she agreed on. And now, the two are playfully teasing each other.

Everything seemed to be a perfect day, until Jihyo found a girl with earphones on, feeling lonely and surrounded by a crowd full of couples; Kim Dahyun.

The goddess looked at her bag and there she saw two more purple arrows.

"Shit! I was too impatient to get the job done quickly that I forgot that there's one more couple to pair up with." Jihyo cursed under her breath, frustrated.

The note for who's going to be paired is already gone as well since it vanished after Valentine's Day Eve was over.

"What would I do now? I don't know who's going to be paired with her?"

Feeling torn apart, Jihyo just followed Dahyun where she's going to find out who her soulmate is.

Dahyun went to an empty classroom and started looking out a the couples from the window.

Kim Dahyun is a hopeless romantic all her life, surrounded by couples all the time. She grew up watching fairy tales and reading cheesy fanfictions with happy endings. That got stuck to her mindset, that someday she would find her prince charming or her 'the one' one day.

Dahyun could only sigh, remembering the people she had liked yet never gave her feelings back. Heck, she was even going to tell Momo how she feels until Tzuyu beat her to it.

The pale-skinned girl is almost ready to accept the fact that she would never find the one who would love her as much as she does. She kept thinking that maybe she should take is as a sign that she's going to be single for the rest of her life.

Feeling lonely, Dahyun wrapped her arms around herself, "I wish I'd find a lover that could hold me."

Now she's crying on their classroom, feeling skeptical of love and doubting the existence of Cupid, the goddess of love, who was just, in fact, watching her from her side and giving her the side eye.

Even if it seemed impossible for her, Dahyun couldn't stop wanting more and more of love.

"I gave you a second chance, Cupid. Now look at me, I'm left here feeling stupid." Jihyo scoffed, hearing that from the girl beside her.

She did feel bad for the girl, but then wanted to take it back after hearing this from the younger, "Why do you make me feel that love isn't real? You're so dumb."

"I'm the dumb one now?!"

I mean... You forgot to shoot her and her soulmate the arrows...

If only Jihyo didn't felt bad for Dahyun, she wouldn't have been thinking of ways on how to find the girl's soulmate.

Well, she knew that she's still to blame for forgetting to matchmake Dahyun with someone, "But still. Calling me dumb for hoping for a cheesy romance fairytale? Give me a break."

Then again, Jihyo remembered that, that's how most girls think.

The goddess had an idea of putting the arrow in Dahyun's heart first, thinking that maybe it would lead them to her pair.

The arrow on Dahyun's heart and the other pair started glowing yet Jihyo still doesn't have any idea who the other pair was for.

"Kim Dahyun?" A random student called for the girl.

"Y-yes?"

"Come with us! We have a surprise for you!"

"Wait, wha-!"

Not even having the chance to protest, Dahyun was grabbed by the arm and dragged out of the classroom. Jihyo immediately followed suit.

"Put on the blindfold first!" The student exclaimed and tried putting it on Dahyun but the latter stopped him.

"Hey! Hey! What is this all about? Are you guys kidnapping me?"

"Don't worry, miss. Someone just set you up with another person. Maybe this is your chance to find your soulmate!"

Dahyun's eyes lit up at the idea. If Cupid can't set her up with someone, maybe this will help her. She's always looking for Cupid's arrows everyday yet no luck for her.

"I guess Cupid already got lost and flew away. Waiting around for him is a waste if I'd still hope that Cupid would take a step forward and struck me with his arrow."

Jihyo rolled her eyes as she hears Dahyun's thoughts. Yes, she can read people's minds but only if her name's involved in the statement.

"I'm a girl, dumbass. Besides, I'm trying to help you here, you know? Be grateful."

"I guess this could help. I've been counting the days since November but I don't know if loving is as good as they say anymore." Dahyun let out a sad chuckle, taking the blindfold from the student's hand and wearing it herself.

"Alright, take me to my soulmate."

➽───────────────❥

Dahyun was brought to a fancy looking dim room with a nicely set up table and candlelight dinner.

"When I say 'take it off', you two would take your blindfolds off, alright?" The student who dragged Dahyun earlier said, earning a nod from both the latter and her blind date.

The student then went outside and left a little gap before saying, "Take it off!" And closing the door, to give the two some privacy.

As soon as Dahyun took off her blindfold, a smiling blonde-haired girl looked at her.

Dahyun couldn't help but admire her. For her, she looked like an angel who came down from heaven.

From her innocent eyes, her perfectly-pointed nose, puffy cheeks, and pouty lips, Dahyun could tell she was a real beauty, and knows that everyone probably thinks the same.

"H-hi... So, uhm, what's your name?" Dahyun initiated the conversation.

"Minatozaki Sana." Dahyun swore she just melted just by hearing her voice.

"Kim Dahyun." Dahyun replied, smiling widely at the girl in front of her.

Dahyun's admiration for Sana isn't that different from Sana's to hers.

Sana also took a good look of Dahyun's features, like her sharp, pointed nose, her adorable face, and her white, pale skin that glows in the unilluminated room.

"Nice to meet you, Kim Dahyun. Say, what made you agree to this setup?"

"Well, this is kind of embarrassing to say, to be honest..." Dahyun scratched her head and shyly looked away.

Sana chuckled before saying, "No need to be shy. Tell you what, I just got forced to agree to this because my friends are all busy with their partners. But I'm glad I agreed to this or I wouldn't have met you. It's rare to see an adorable face around here, you know?"

Dahyun felt herself blush at Sana's words, "The reason why I'm here is because I'm always hoping for my 'the one'. It's frustrating to be surrounded by couples all the time when you're a hopeless romantic like me. I'm just a hopeless girl seeking for someone who would share this feeling that I have."

"And by the way... thank you for saying I'm a-adorable. Y-you're not so bad yourself- I mean-! You're so beautiful, Sana-!"

Both Jihyo and Sana laughed at her. Dahyun's lucky that she couldn't see Jihyo or she would've been more embarrassed.

"I guess something unexpected left us something amazing, then." Sana giggled.

"I guess you're right."

Jihyo watched as the two got to know each other. She hate to admit, but this is probably the first time that someone didn't need her arrows to be with a person they like.

But who knows? Maybe Dahyun would need her help once the time comes.

"So Dahyun, tell me about yourself." Sana fixated her gaze and focus towards Dahyun, letting the latter know that she's listening.

"I always feel lonely and I've always wished that I could find someone, a lover, who would hold me in their arms. I don't know why but I'm really fond of searching for the love of my life. But lately, I've been skeptical about love yet I still want more."

Dahyun was shocked when Sana stood up. The younger was afraid she might've been making Sana uncomfortable just by telling her all of her fantasies.

But to her surprise, Sana went behind her and wrapped her arms around her neck. Dahyun's temperature rise at the sudden gesture, her lips trying to suppress a smile.

"Like this?" Sana asked innocently but on the back of her mind, she's enjoying how the younger reacted.

"Yes..." Dahyun wouldn't even lie to her, she likes the feeling of comfort that Sana brings to her.

One blind date, one attempt to find and give Dahyun her soulmate. If only she knew that this would turn out well than she expected, she would've agreed to this sooner.

➽───────────────❥

After the blind date, Sana and Dahyun bid their goodbyes to each other. The latter felt that sudden loneliness again as she waved at Sana.

"How would I know if she's interested in me too? I'm a fool for love, a fool for her." Dahyun sighed, finding herself giving up on what she was trying to do and just went to the opposite direction of Sana's.

Jihyo noticed that the younger was fighting the urge to call for Sana's name and say something to her. That's when she finally took action and went in front of Sana, aiming the arrow through her heart.

In result of her success, the glowing, invisible string tried Sana and Dahyun's arrow together.

The younger suddenly felt the courage she needed and turned around, taking a deep breath before yelling as loud as she can, "Sana!"

The said girl turned around and looked at Dahyun confused. The younger then walked closer to her and smiled.

"Will you, go on another date with me? Not a blind date this time..."

"Of course." Sana kissed Dahyun's cheek and smiled at her, both of their heart racing at what the older did.

Jihyo could only scoff at the two but she's actually happy for them. "Just kiss, you morons."

The goddess of love then used her powers to link their strings and gave the two the urge to plant a kiss on each other's lips.

With the help from Jihyo, Sana and Dahyun both leaned closer to each other, locking their lips in a passionate kiss as Cupid watch them in awe.

Unbeknownst to them, Mercury is also watching from the top of the cloud where Jihyo usually watches couples.

"Cupid might be dumb, but she and her arrows found a way to help you find the one."
