Summary
Kili visits the Shire against his uncle the king's orders a year or so after the Battle to visit a certain burglar. He finds more than he bargained for, and gains more than he ever could've hoped.
Endgame Kili/Bilbo

Kili couldn’t help but quicken his pace a little when Bag-End came into view. He smiled until his face hurt, it’d been almost two years since he’d seen their burglar last, just after the battle, and he didn’t want to waste another moment.
His smile fell, though, just a touch, when he saw the state of the gardens. The first time he’d visited, they’d been pristine, maintained and cared for as if belonging to royalty. Now, though, the garden was overgrown, weeds taking over half of it, dead plants everywhere. He worried for Bilbo, knowing the hobbit’s propensity for propriety, and he knocked on the door, heart racing at the thought of something bad happening to his friend.
“Just a minute!” Came the burglar’s voice from inside, and Kili relaxed infinitesimally. When the door flew open, his eyes widened. “Bilbo!”
