Work Text:
Monty laid still for a few moments. Just listening to…nothing. Nothing he could comprehend enough to recognize. Not that he had the strength anyway. Then it became a few moments too long. Or so he felt.
Lifting his head, he wondered where he was. There was a big rumble and the whole building shook. Earthquake. He remembered the word at least. He had to dodge all kinds of debris falling.
If it wasn’t for that kid…he’d be okay. Yet he had felt so wrong. Fortunately he’s feeling better now weirdly enough. But he wasn’t programmed to hurt people. Monty definitely wanted to kill that kid that had every right to defend himself.
And what did that cost him? His entire lower half. What was left of his shell was busted and on the verge of falling off. His one eye was more or less a lazy eye. And he couldn’t even talk right! All he could really do was growl and roar. His voice box sent a strange pain throughout what was left of his body so he couldn’t even call out for help or explain he was better now. Whatever was affecting him was gone!
Eventually he found safety in this hole in the wall.
A vent?
It sounded like one at least when he moved around. On the upside to the whole broken in half thing, he at least fit inside vents and could get around this way.
Room. Room. My room.
It was his safe place. Hopefully it wasn’t too damaged. Crawling, he made his way through the vents until he found the ones behind Rockstar row’s rooms.
Falling into his room, he went over to his vanity. Wondering what he could possibly do now? The place was supposed to be closed so they could be seen for maintenance. But that’s gonna be the last thing on their minds when they see the state of the place.
Monty wasn’t sure where Freddy went. Where that kid went. Where even any of the girls, including Vanessa, went.
Did they all escape? Leave him alone? He didn’t want to be alone. He hated it when he was just off in his own corner in Monty golf. He liked being part of the band much more! Even if everyone thinks he killed Bonnie. Someone else did that and blamed him for it! But no one would believe a big scary guy like him.
A whimper came out as he debated on what to do.
Fuck. What if he really was alone? How soon would someone come to fix him? Monty decided he couldn’t wait on Fazbear Entertainment. He was going to send someone to him. And hoped they would be able to safely get in.
His animatronic brain scanned for any programmings that still worked and was thankful when the one he wanted was still active and online. He just hoped this would work since you were at home sleeping.
Get to the pizzaplex! Now! I need yah, babe! I need…I need help!
His message was sent to your very own Monty Fazwatch. If his internal clock was correct, it should be morning so maybe you’ll wake up soon and get it?
Grunting, Monty went over to his destroyed couch and climbed up. Hoping there wouldn’t be any more Earthquakes as he went into sleep mode.
Figuring there wasn’t much else he could do.
And even then, his energy was getting low and he didn’t think he could crawl into a recharge station. If they even still work.
Sleeping felt like the best option while he waited for you. For anyone. Any sign that he wasn’t alone.

“Monty?!” You called out. “I got your message! Where are you, buddy? What the Hell happened here?!”
You were alarmed when you woke up to your Fazwatch beeping with a distress message from Monty. What could he need help with? He was fine yesterday as far as you could tell. Did whatever happen to Freddy affect him too?
Quickly, you got ready and headed there. Going through an employee only entrance and exit.
That’s when you knew something definitely happened overnight. The place was destroyed! But how? You didn’t see anything in the news about a earthquake? And there isn’t signs of a fire?
“Monty!” You called out again as you made it to the atrium.
The place seemed…dark despite the lights still working. And just cold and eerie. This won’t be a easy fix for Fazbear Entertainment there was just no way.
You debated on going to Rockstar Row or Monty Golf, figuring he’d be in one of those places. Eventually deciding to check his room first.
You tried to not look at all the of the old things from Fazbear history that could be destroyed now. You just focused on Monty’s room.
“Monty!” You entered and sighed in relief when you saw he was on the couch…and missing half of his body?! “What the fuck?!”
Running up to him, you touch his head and he suddenly activated! Pouncing on you and knocking you to the floor. You held his mouth open as he tried to chomp down on you.
“Monty! Knock it off!” You yelled. “It’s me!”
Monty backed off and was happy to see you. He let put some happy grunts and sounds as his exposed wires wagged like his tail was still there.
“What happened, buddy?” You took a deep breath. “Your shell is falling off as I speak! What’s going on?”
Monty tried to speak but couldn’t very well.
“E-E-E-Earthquake? H-H-help! R-R-Repair?” Monty forced out.
“But I’m not a technician…” You answered.
Monty whimpered and gave you a puppy dog face.
“I’ll try…but only for you since you called me here.” You sighed and went to pick him up in your arms.
Even with half of his body gone, he was still kinda heavy. But you managed to hold him anyways.
Monty felt better being in your arms. I’m not alone now. He thought. He has you with him. You’ll help him as much as possible.

Down in parts and service, you were thankful the main machine seemed to be in working order. You were able to use that as a guide to fix Monty up.
You weren’t able to do much for him though. All you did was reattach his legs and tail while also fixing his eyes and voice box. You also tried to reattach his shell that was falling off but couldn’t find any to fully replace them. Even finding his replacement upgraded hands.
“Now what?” Monty asked, looking around parts and service after getting to his feet and walking for a while.
“I don’t know.” You truthfully answered.
“Can we go home?” He tentatively asked. “I don’t know where anyone else is or if they’re even still here.”
That questioned surprised you. But you figured you could find a way to recharge him at home. Your electric bill will skyrocket but you didn’t feel good about leaving him here when the place could collapse for all you knew.
“Y-Yeah. Let’s go home.” You finally answered.
His tail wagged.
“You mean it? You’re letting me leave?” Monty questioned and you nodded. “Fuck yeah! Let’s go!”
Monty took you by the hand and guided you out of parts and service. Soon you were at the employee exit you came in at. Opening the door to sunshine, you held it open as he hesitated to step out.
“Come on, buddy. Let’s go.” You held out a hand to him and he put one of his clawed hands into it.
Slowly, he followed you out. Raising his free arm to cover his eyes from the bright sun since he didn’t have his sunglasses anymore. They were shattered and he didn’t have a extra pair.
“I’ll buy yah new sunglasses. Just try to look down and I’ll guide you to my car.” You replied.
“Alright.” He nodded.
You helped him into the backseat where he had more room at. And you hoped wouldn’t be as bothered by the sun back there compared to the front seat.
“Thank you, Y/N.” Monty smiled.
“You’re welcome, buddy.” You smiled back and gave him a kiss on his snoot before hopping into the front seat. “You ready to go home?”
He nodded excitedly. Monty always wondered what your home looked like!
