Summary:

Obi-wan presents at the worst possible moment in galactic history.

This can be read as either a forced relationship or a forced adoption fic because either way Obi-wan is suffering :)

Work Text:

It was an understatement that the weather on Mustafar is hot. A different kind of heat than the one on Tatooine. Where Tatooine was dry and the suns beat you down into a puddle of water, the weather on Mustafar was more ominous. The slow, encroaching heat and clouds of ash swirling above him, clogging his throat, and robbing Obi-wan of his breath. His grip on his lightsaber was growing slippery, his hands cold and clammy. He does not want to face his Master, Sith lord, his mind whispers, but he has a duty as a Jedi. No. Was he even a Jedi when his own master had forsaken him for a Sith and slaughtered their family. His throat tightens as he remembers the way the younglings were slashed through as if they never mattered to him. His master would probably kill him quickly as well, he thinks bitterly. He carefully steps out from the Fighter as his Master quickly approaches him. He ignited his lightsaber and entered into a Soresu stance. Obi-wan looks at his master underneath the robe. Anakin’s face was pale and his eyes were a fierce gold color confirming his fears that his Master had truly Fallen.

“Obi-wan,” Anakin says warmly, “what exactly are you doing here? Did I not tell you to wait for me at the Senate building?”

“Master, I know” Obi-wan chokes out, unable to bear how his Master sounds the same even after Falling, acting as if nothing truly changed. Like he was a wayward, disobedient padawan. He flinches when he notices how Anakin’s face darkens and shifts as if to move towards him. He tightens his grip and brings the lightsaber in front of him as if to keep Anakin away from him.“Surrender Master and maybe the Senate and the Jedi Council will be lenient towards you. You were manipulated by a Sith after all. Surely, you do not want to do the bidding of a Sith Lord. They will only seek to use you and throw you aside.”

“Look at you talking as if you know everything” Anakin sneers. “The Sith Lord is the chancellor and all this time, the Jedi have been doing the bidding of the Sith, not that they needed any help with that. How many planets have the Jedi abandoned? How many people have they doomed because they refused to get involved without the Senate’s say so?” Anakin’s eyes softened, “Have they not abandoned you too? You were almost sent to AgriCorps even though you shined so brightly in the Force. If it weren’t for me, you would have been lost forever.”

Obi-wan’s breath hitched. AgriCorps was always a sore point for him. It was a sign that he was not good enough for the Jedi no matter how hard he tried. Anakin’s acceptance of him meant that he only had to work harder so that it wouldn’t reflect on his Master. The council was already watching him closely due to disobedience, having an unruly padawan would make it worse. More like you wanted him to keep you next to him at all times. He takes a breath and inches forward slowly, circling his Master to lunge for a weak point and knock him unconscious, “That may be so Master, but the Jedi cannot be everywhere and we must simply accept that and help those we are able to. And now, because of you, the Jedi are all gone and there is no one left to protect those who are weak. You have left us all at the mercy of the Sith.” He quickly darts forward, aiming the hilt of the saber at his Master’s head, before flipping back to avoid getting slashed by his master’s lightsaber.

This was not how he wanted this to go. Deep down, he was hoping his master would just surrender rather than fight him because he didn’t want to fight his master. But he had a responsibility and he will fulfill it even at the expense of Master Skywalker. One of the few people who accepted him for all he was worth. But in the state he is now there was no convincing him. The master he loved was gone and in his place a monster. He wanted to deny it, but seeing the younglings slaughtered and the only home he ever knew go up in flames was enough to get him to try and stop his master’s rampage. Obi-wan grunted as his master continued his barrage of attacks, the heat from the rivers of lava surrounding them pressing down on him, making it feel as though he was boiling from the inside. He quickly blocked another strike that would have taken out his arm. His master looked grim on the other side as though it pained him to fight Obi-wan.

“We can change the galaxy together, Obi-wan. We can strike down Palpatine together and rule the galaxy. Ensure years of prosperity without those bloated fools that call themselves Senators impeding our every move”, his master boomed as his saber pressed against his, bringing his face closer in a way that Obi-wan can see the gold of his eyes with startling clarity. The heat was growing even more, his body sweating from trying to keep up with his Master and the boiling lava a few feet away from him. He can feel himself tiring, his feet and arms moving sluggishly as he struggles to parry the aggressive strikes his Master rained down on him as if the heat was not an obstacle, despite the sweat he sees running down his Master’s face. He needed to stall. After all, his Master loves to run his mouth.

As he made to jump on a piece of floating rock in the river of lava, his vision doubled, a burst of pain flaring in his gut. His body was too hot now and he was too close to the lava. He flinched and closed his eyes, bracing for the sudden impact until something caught him. Obi-wan cautiously opened his eyes, right on time to see a bubble form in the lava ready to pop and splatter on his face before he was yanked away and dumped on the jagged rocks unceremoniously. He lay there dazed from the pain as his body felt like an inferno on the inside ready to consume. He could not focus on anything but the spreading heat traveling across his body inflaming every part of him as if he were taking a boiling hot shower. Rolling over, Obi-wan groaned and curled up around his stomach trying to settle the pain somehow. He despaired when he realized the cause of it, cursing the timing as if the very Force was conspiring against. Of course, he thinks, his master is the Chosen One. He should get his way even if it damns the entire galaxy. Slowly, he crawled forward trying to get to his lightsaber as sweat dripped down his eyes and his entire body weighed him down. It was like crawling through sludge. Suddenly, a hand grabbed him by his hair, yanking him up and forcing his back to arch, completely exposing his neck.

Obi-wan tried to jerk forward, whimpering as he felt his master’s nose on his neck aggressively scenting him. The hot breath on his neck did not help quell the heat, making it worse with each harsh exhale. He startled again and started squirming in desperation as he felt his master’s tongue. “No,” Obi-wan moaned as he tried to scramble up and throw his master off his back. Anything to stop the low simmer of arousal burning in his gut. He knew what this inferno inside him was. He thought he was a beta but in the end he was just presenting late. Presenting in this situation. Obi-wan felt like cursing as he struggled to no avail as his master pinned him down with the force and continued to scent him. The despair running through him was endless. He knows there is no shame in presenting as an omega but how could he not feel shame when he still felt safe enough to present in front of his master. Even after all the things Anakin Skywalker did, his body still thought of his master as a sanctuary.

“You truly are a gift Obi-wan,” Anakin panted harshly, breathing in the scent of a freshly presented omega. “Ever since you entered my life, you were the only source of light even as everything crumbled around us. Now, you made it even better.” He watches as Obi-wan goes taut underneath him, still trying to get away from his hold even though it was futile. Obi-wan just never knew when to stop. Something that exasperated Anakin to no end but was also endearing in its own way. But now, knowing what Obi-wan is makes him even more desperate to protect him, cherish him, and possess him completely. “My precious padawan, a darling omega. A blessing from the Force. This is a sign that you were made for me.” Obi-wan snarls underneath him. Anakin sighs, “You’ll understand soon enough that everything I do is for you Obi-wan. Only you.” He held up Obi-wan’s hair, completely exposing his nape.

Obi-wan stilled in terror. His master wouldn’t do this to him. He wouldn’t bond him forcefully. It goes against everything his master stood for. Everything he told him of Tatooine and his mother. “Please, please don’t,” Obi-wan sobbed. “If you truly love me and respect me you wouldn’t do this. We can still fix this. We can work together, take down Palpatine, and put this all behind us. I’m always with you so please don’t do this.” For a moment, his master stilled. Then a sharp, blooming pain exploded. Obi-wan seized, going completely still from the shock and pain before going completely docile as a flood of hormones rushed through his body, destroying his thoughts and numbing the pain of betrayal. One last mercy and then Obi-wan was drifting off in a haze of want and adoration. “Maaasteer,” he slurred out, trying to reach behind him, whining when he couldn’t.

“Shh, shh, it’s ok Obi-wan, I’m here now. I will take care of you like you deserve. You will never want for anything now,” Anakin swore as he gathered Obi-wan into his arms gently. He hoisted him up and walked to the aircraft, secure in the knowledge of all the power he now held. Carefully, he adjusted Obi-wan so he was pressed against his mating gland directly. Hopefully, his scent could tide his padawan over for now while he finishes the last bit of extermination he has left. Now that both he and Obi-wan were tied together, he could never leave Obi-wan vulnerable near Palpatine. While learning powerful Sith techniques would be useful, there were many abandoned Sith temples present for that purpose. Palpatine no longer holds any use for him. Becoming the emperor would suit his needs perfectly now. After that, he has all the time in the world to love Obi-wan like he wished to.

Notes:

I feel Anakin would totally jump on the opportunity to take advantage of people especially when he turned to the dark side. Even with his unresolved feelings on slavery and all the trauma he endured during the war, if he had a chance like this to keep his loved ones safe (in his mind) he would take it. Of course, the consequences would reach him later as it always does and he will wonder where he went wrong because in his mind he had the best intentions, never mind that everyone around him is unwilling to participate in his delusions. For these reasons, he's one of my fav characters in Star Wars. I hope you enjoyed this fic!
