Chapter 1: Ango

Chapter Text

"AKUTAGAWA"

Walking down these dark halls. It's not the same. After Atsushi had told me what had happened I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. "Atsushi. It'll be okay, life happens. I once lost a good friend before too." I had told him. "It's not the same though Ango! You don't understand! You didn't watch them die did you! I DID, ANGO I DID AND IT PAINS ME!! WHAT ABOUT HIS FAMILY HIS FRIENDS!!" Atsushi cried. "You're right Atsushi, I didn't watch him die, but I could've prevented it and I didn't." I dropped Atsushi off with Dazai and said my goodbyes and sent my condolences and drove back to the Port Mafia building to tell Mori the news on the failed mission.

I walked down the dark halls only knowing the pain and grief that would be brought upon the organization. I knocked on the large wooden doors leading into the bosses office. Once, then twice. "Come in. Akutagawa, is that you?" Mori had asked. I hung my head low and responded. "No, it is not Akutagawa it's-" He had cut me off. "Ango, how have you been. Have you come to escort Akutagawa back from his mission? How did it go?" Mori had questioned me once again.

"Akutagawa... is dead." I said. Mori had looked into my eyes, his face full of shock. "Is this true? Is he really? This can't be! He's far too powerful and far to strong to have died! Are you pulling my leg?" The words had rushed out of his mouth like a waterfall. "No sir, I am not pulling your leg. It's true. I'm sorry."

"How could this have happened?" He asked once more. "What I have heard from Nakajima, Atsushi, is that Ochi, Fukuchi is far more powerful than he seems. He is the leader of The Decay of Angels and had a sword that can supposedly travel time to eliminate his enemies." I told the boss with no emotion.

"I see... I must go inform the others about this. Thank you Ango, you may leave now."
