A Wink And A Smile.

Summary:

“Here goes nothing.”

*Knock*

The door opened swiftly, leaving an unsuspecting Dissaya behind it. He watched as her eyes scanned the boy in front of her. His gaze stayed unchanging as her face switched from emotion to emotion. He could feel a lump in his throat the size of Bangkok.

Aka pat tries to win over dissaya, but ittle take more than just a wink and a smile ;)

Work Text:

“Pran no! I can't I- how the hell do I even go about that?” pats voice echoed in his own ears.

“Pat, please. Just knock on the door, tell her what you’re there for, and get out!”

Pat was almost positive no amount of persuasion was going to get him to cave.
“Why can’t you just call her and ask her to bring it to you!?”

“You don’t think I tried that? She’s not picking up I think her phone is dead.” pran pinched the skin in between his eyebrows. “You don't have any classes this morning, right? Please?”

Why did Pran have to be so cute? He couldn't even see him and yet was still affected.
“No-No, I can’t. I can't do it. “ Pat stammered after giving it no more than a moment of consideration. Normally Pat would do anything to help the man of his dreams, but not this time.

Scratch that.

“Please Pat, it would be really helpful” Pat couldn’t see it but he was sure Pran was batting his eyelashes on the other side of the phone.

“Ohmygod. Fine.” He sighed, once again giving in to his Achilles heel.

“Yes!” A sigh of relief came through the other end of the phone.

“What exactly am I getting?” Pat exhaled through his nose.

“Hard Drive- a hard drive! It’s in the second drawer of my desk. uh- it’s got a little smiley face on it.” Despite the panic in Pran's voice convincing you otherwise, this was not the first time something like this had happened. “Once u grab it, run over to your place and send me the files!” Despite his overly organized behaviors, breaks messed with his head. More like-messed with his routine. He liked things done a certain way of course, but every once in a while, he would get too comfortable in life without school and forget something.

“Desk, second drawer, hard drive. Got it. How long do I have?”

“My class is in a little under thirty minutes.”

“Jesus Pran.”
That brings us back to today, the first day back from spring break. Pran has a presentation due in less than half an hour and he left his hard drive at home. Not Pat and Pran's home, but his parents.

“Thank you. love you. Gotta go.”

“Pran? Pran?!” shit. He hung up.

Needless to say, it was one of their more hectic days.

What the hell was he even supposed to do? Before, he wouldn't be caught dead going anywhere near Pran's mom, and now he was expected to knock on her front door. He wasn't sure were the boundaries lay, after everything that had unfolded in the past few months. The fake breakup seemed to be convincing enough, but there were still things left unsaid.
He let out a deep sigh, trying to relax his shoulders.

“Here goes nothing.”

His feet shuffled against the mat below him. If he did get a chance to enter the Siridechawat household from anywhere but the window, he sure as hell wasnt going in with dirty shoes.

The door opened swiftly, leaving an unsuspecting Dissaya behind it. He watched as her eyes scanned the boy infront of her. His gaze stayed unchanging as her face switched from emotion to emotion. He could feel a lump in his throat the size of Bangkok.

She didn't say anything. Pat couldn't tell if that was a pro or a con, but he needed to do something.

“Good morning ma’am” he quickly bowed ninety degrees, his hands pressed together at his chest. His voice was small and timid. Embarrassing even. “I really hate to disturb you but Pran forgot something for one of his classes and he was having trouble reaching you. He asked me to bring it up to him.”

Silence. Oh my god, she was judging him. She was good at it too, he could tell by the raise of her brow. She pokes her tongue into the side of her cheek the same way Pran always does. God, they even hate me the same.

“He asked…you?” the suspicion plastered on her face like a fresh coat of paint.

“I was a last resort, really! I live so close and Wai’s in class. I'm really sorry about all of this.”

“Why are you apologizing to me?” his response was sharp and sure like she had asked him a trick question.

“Um.”

“How long will you be?” she asked, hand resting on the side of the door, her fingers tapping one by one across its frame.

“In and out! You have my word.” he flashed her his best grin.

“Fine.”

It took him a while to process the response. He had half expected to be scolded, although no matter how hard he tried- he coulnt come up with what for.

“Are you coming in or not?”

“Yes ma’am. Sorry ma’am
