Summary
A young woman of modern-day Earth finds herself in the world of The Elder Scrolls, some time in the Forth Era. Torn between fascination and fear, she must find a means to live in this mysterious and savage world, and come to grips with the destiny which has been thrust upon her. She struggles often, unable to fit in anywhere, or even to find anything to live for, as every slice of peace or happiness she carves out for herself becomes obliterated by outside forces. When she stares down the headsman’s axe, only half of her rues the fact that she did not see much of this new world before her seemingly imminent doom.
The capricious Gods, however, have other plans for her in mind. Resentful of those Gods and their fickle intervention, this woman does what she can to evade those plans, but she cannot outrun them forever.
Even so, even when she realizes the impact she could have on this world and the lives which hang in the balance, will she be able to summon the courage to fulfill that destiny? Or will the darkness in her heart overtake her, and doom Nirn along with it?
