"How are you such a terrible patient?” Nie Mingjue asks, the fourth time he catches Wen Qing sneaking down to her office while still shaking with fever. He scoops her up, despite her protests, and bodily carries her back to bed.
Unluckily for her, Jiang Yanli arrives with a tray containing medicine, cooling tea, and a bowl of light broth just as he does. “Qing’er, really? You know if it was one of us, you’d have used the needles by now.”
Wen Qing groans in frustration, resigned to her fate of being waited on hand and foot until she recovers.
