    Summary

    A series of fics of varied lengths over years of a canon divergence AU. Hopeful but deals with dark themes; butterfly-wing-flap small changes to major canon-divergence; fix-it, a long hard way; WangNingXian. Explores: redemption, mistakes, supportive relationships, gender, embodiment, disability, trauma, & hope, thru fantasy. Contains: Mix of canons + fanon + AU.

    PLEASE mind tags. Fics in this AU vary wildly in tone + CWs.

    Summary

    All the fics in this sub-series are canon compliant. That is, they fit with frankencanon--a mix of mostly CQL | The Untamed and the Mo Dao Zu Shi novel, in translation.

    Chronologically, these fics begin with the Mo Dao Zu Shi characters' childhoods, move through their youths, the Cloud Recesses Lectures and Sunshot Campaign arcs of canon, and roughly up to the Burial Mounds Settlement Period.

    At that point, TEO-verse diverges from canon. Subsequent fics are in the main TEO-verse series, instead.

    Summary

    I made a place to put everything in this AU that is unrelentingly brutal.

    Yes, my TEO-verse AU as a whole does in fact address difficult and depressing themes. The distinction I'm drawing is between fics that are more than 90% pure misery and those that have more of a clear upward trajectory and/or positive mood.

    :glances at drafts: You can expect this sub-series to end up having:
    ~ multiple pieces of pre-canon-divergence traumatic backstory for Wen Ning, Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji .... and Jiang Cheng, Nie Mingjue ... and Wen Qing ... and maybe others ...
    ~ non-backstory moments of not-sexy darkfic and introspective angst
    ~ possibly some sexy darkfic
    ~ possibly some AUs of AU
    ~ a dead dove tag sooner or late, if my computer stopped eating my drafts

    Please note that avoiding this sub-series won't put you in exclusive fluff-land; it's a matter of degree.
