Similar to Built to Break-Alternate ending, this story will be the same up to a certain point, and then switch into an alternate version. Chapter 25 is where things will begin to shift from the original.
If you have read the original, I have gone back and added some author's notes at the end of the chapters with some thoughts and insights you might enjoy, instead of rereading the whole thing... though I find that rereading it sometimes hits different when you know the ending will change.

It takes a step through the airlock and sinks down into rough sand and pebbles. I chirp and hop down after it. Grace has not seen the biodome yet, but neither have I, and in my enthusiasm I dart slightly ahead.
Grace inhales so sharply that I turn to hear him better in a panic. “Grace? Grace, what is wrong? You are hurt?”
My assumption is quickly corrected when, without warning, it bolts.

This is a fanfic I wrote for fun starring my Dandy's World OC and my friend group's characters as well! I wasn't going to post it but they managed to convince me, lol. References to said characters will be posted in a separate fic that will be linked to the series, so you can see who you're reading about.
I plan to write more of these characters and my take on the Dandy's World lore in the future with as much accuracy to in-game mechanics as I can manage, so if you're interested in that, be warned that it may get (canon-typically) violent! Contains head-canons and character analysis.
