This is a deep dive into an OC story of mine. I will be using character Clove (Took) Dwalinsdottir to explore my take on Tolkiens Dwarven customs, traditions, and politics, with a heavy focus on the rebuilding of Erebor post-BOFTA. Clove is, of course, just a fan-made character, so forgive her qualities if she feels too Mary Sue.

Something is terrorising the quaint French village of Rossignol.
The beast has evidently made its way from Gévaudan, goats are being beheaded and villagers are vanishing in broad daylight. Father Aziraphale is doing his best to soothe the town's hysteria in the face of this mysterious, seemingly supernatural enemy.. One he isn't sure actually even exists.
But then an equally mysterious, red-headed trader arrives, peddling Snake Oil and grand tales of heroics, armed with a crossbow and the promise of a pound of Beastly flesh.
It seems their prayers may well have been answered....
"..And woe betide any sceptical monk who would stand in the way of a damn good story!"

There’s a first time for everything, Seokjin thinks, zoning out of the discussion around him. The man who’s talking is small and looks slightly nervous. His rigid posture seems half imposed by how starch and thick the fabric of his jacket is and half dictated by the atmosphere of the room. He’s talking in a calm, low voice that seems completely artificial.
Seokjin could recognise vocal training in a heartbeat.
Every once in a while the man’s eyes twitch towards him, almost involuntarily. Finally he pauses in his speech and takes out a small, thick envelope closed by a seal. Seokjin’s name is written on it in black ink.
“Finally, the last clause of Kim Yejin’s will,” He says, more confidently staring at Seokjin now. “Kim Yejin’s last place of residence is to go to her nephew, Kim Seokjin, against the promise that he will renovate it and find someone deserving of living there if he doesn’t want to himself. I have a letter for you, from her, and the keys as well. I assume you know where the estate is?”

During Lent, the forty-day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter, they transform every night and become even more aggressive than usual. In Brazil, there are no wolves, so they transform into a mixture of farm animals such as dogs, oxen, horses, pigs, and goats. There is no cure, and they can be killed with silver or burned alive.
The seventh son after six daughters will be cursed and become a werewolf. When a couple has six sons, there is an insecurity, but it is not enough to prevent the birth of a seventh son.

Summary
There's no way he can avoid the goat when it suddenly runs onto the road, but Phayu tries nonetheless, braking and even trying to swerve just a bit, but his car hits it, hard. The goat is thrown backwards by the force and lands at the side of the road.
Phayu jumps out of the car and rushes over, but it's very obvious the poor animal is dead. “..I’m so sorry…” Phayu quietly apologises to the goat, while looking around to see if there's a farm nearby or even a house, anywhere this goat could have been living.
There's only forest as far as he can see, and he wonders if he’ll have to put the goat somewhere else, maybe burying it will help its spirit rest in peace.
