He was dressed in a dark coat, slightly worn at the elbows. He had dark hair that fell past his shoulders and a worn gambler's hat. And a face that was—GraveRobber's brain supplied the assessment automatically: handsome. Genuinely, disarmingly beautiful. He had a gote and sad eyes. He stood about 6ft 6” from what he could tell.
He stood when he saw GraveRobber looking.
"Sorry," the man apologized. His voice was calm and persuasive. "Didn't think anyone else would be here."
"It's fine, I mean, I can't tell you not to be," GraveRobber said.
The man smiled at that. It was a good smile — quiet, reaching his eyes without making a production of it, the kind of smile that arrived like it had been waiting patiently for the right moment rather than being deployed for effect. "Right," he said. "Of course not."
