War was waged.
The battle has begun.
Monsters were summoned. They brought destruction.
Fear reigned.
Cries were heard.
People despaired.
The Supreme Commander failed at sealing the four statues somewhere in the Sez Kingdom, but at least he managed to destroy two others with his fight in the Endable Kingdom.
6 monsters now caused havoc in the Puzzle City.
The battlefield is currently silent.
Even the monsters refuse to make a sound.
All eyes are trained in one location.
The Supreme Commander has been penetrated by a claw.
A giant claw from one of the monsters goes through the stomach of the red head.
The monster then retrieve its claw and so blood instantly squirts out of Cale's body. He's leaking like a fountain as he spat some blood.
His stomach now has a brand new hole.
The children looks at the horrible and gruesome display and Eruhaben-nim watches the utter horror on the children's face through the hole on his Unlucky Bastard's fragile body.
The body fall with a splash.
Screams were heard.
Blood curdling, the kind of shout that sounds painful, the one that scratches the back of your throat. It's the kind of scream that empties your lungs with air.
Cale twitches as blood flows out of him like the water in the stream.
It seems endless, and it might as well be. The Crybaby is trying to heal him, but the injury is too big and he's already tired. It has not been long ago that Cale nearly died because of that ability.
The ability he used to destroy the second and seventh statue.
People forgets the war. Even the enemies stopped as they watched the Supreme Commander slowly withers. They cannot believe that he'll soon die.
Even the White Star stopped and stare. Anger, sadness, disappointment, and maybe self hatred. He felt emotions that he thinks he'll never felt again because of his curse.
He watch his nemesis just lie there while his nemesis' family surround him but refuse to get near him.
They all simultaneously forgets about the multitudes of posible course of actions for such injury. They all forget that Jack the Healer is there, even Jack himself. They all forget that Magic Potions exist.
They all forget out of shock that after two years of fighting til Cale Henituse bled, he'll just die so easily because of a monster.
Then, they all saw it. Cale Henituse's chest stopped moving, his heart no longer beating, no more oxygen on his lungs and in that moment.
Everyone started moving, and they are moving fast...
The children attempted to get near, but Eruhaben-nim's magic stopped them and then teleported them in the Black Castle. Raon then teleported them back only for the Golden Dragon to teleport them again with himself so that he can debrief the clueless White Dragon. The three then shouted and struggled but Sherrit-nim won't let them go.
The soldiers started moving as Choi Han started to rage blindingly. He fought and fought and the monsters has no match to him.
Ron then gave his Pup CPR. Begging and praying to any God that will hear his plea even though he's not a believer. He prays that his Young Master's heart will beat no matter how slow. Just let it beat again.
Cale's body was then showered with potions.
But nothing works.
The fight did not last very long after that.
Fueled with pure hatred, everyone charge forward and fought.
Dragons, Beast People, Mages, Soldiers, Assassins, and even Civilians.
Everyone except the enemies fought.
The enemies did nothing but watch. They are still frozen, shocked.
Still, their victory was not celebrated. It feels too wrong.
So, so wrong.
Cale Henituse's body was laid in his bed in the Super Rock's Villa.
The Dragons said that there might be a chance to get their Human back.
His ancient powers is still within him, meaning, he's not fully dead yet.
The floating temple was ignored.
No one cared.
It was maybe, a half and a quarter hours later when something peculiar happened.
Smokes was seen leaving the cold body of Cale.
This smoke reeks of death and so everyone panicked. They scrambled and fumbled and forgot who and what they are exactly.
They then noticed that Cale's wound started stitching itself back til not even a scar was left behind.
Like nothing strange happened and like nothing absolutely terrifying and traumatizing just transpired.
Cale sat up with bleary eyes.
Alive once again without a hint of ever dying.
Cale- no, Kim Rok Soo- has an ability that he got even before the apocalyptic world came to life. An ability he never told anyone. It's a curse and a blessing.
He then manage to bring a half of said ability when he transmigrated, not that he knew that of course.
Kim Rok Soo was, and still is, an Ajin.
A being that can revive itself after death.
Cale Henituse is an Ajin. A fact that he now realizes after almost dying.
'I didn't know that I will bring this ability at all, but maybe I should have expected it.'
