“A ruthless, generous gift,” Fang Duobing said as he poured the second cup for both of them. “And one that came at a terrible price.”
“The price of not having him,” Di Feisheng agreed. “And the price of finding him.”

What if Li Lianhua set up the clues to lead Di Feisheng and Fang Duobing to the beach at the same time on purpose, not to find him or his dead body but to find each other?
He fully treasures what each of these two men meant to himself: - so with him gone, he wants them to have that together. He wants his A-Fei and his Xiaobao to meet up, to accept LLH is gone, return to Lotus Tower with the dog, and pick up his old life, in his memory.
