JUNE: hey dave sprite?
DAVESPRITE: yeah
JUNE: have you ever been kissed before?
DAVESPRITE: uhm
DAVESPRITE: man ive been kissed so many times i have achievements for it
DAVESPRITE: i got a wall of them and they all gleam like stars at night
DAVESPRITE: thats because i shine them real nice
JUNE: uhhh... i can't tell if you're being serious or not!
DAVESPRITE: june you know how ironic i get
DAVESPRITE: so uh in short
DAVESPRITE: ive never kissed anyone
JUNE: oh :B
JUNE: i haven't kissed anyone either!
DAVESPRITE: so were like two pals that have never kissed a gal
DAVESPRITE: man i could write some sick fires about that
JUNE: erm... maybe don't! at least, not right now!
DAVESPRITE: aw man
DAVESPRITE: i was hoping i could lay down some sick beats
JUNE: now is not the right time for that!
DAVESPRITE: then what is it time for
DAVESPRITE: what thing could we possibly talk about that isnt extremely hopeless
JUNE: dave sprite!
JUNE: i want to talk with you about kissing!
DAVESPRITE: why should we bother with it
JUNE: because i want to kiss you!
DAVESPRITE: you what
JUNE: ermm...
DAVESPRITE: no like is this one of your pranks egbert
DAVESPRITE: because its not funny
JUNE: it is not a prank!
JUNE: i am not trying to be funny!
JUNE: i am being serious!
DAVESPRITE: oh
DAVESPRITE: so you actually want to kiss me?
JUNE: yes! i do actually want to kiss you!
DAVESPRITE: uh
DAVESPRITE: i think i feel the same way
JUNE: you think?
DAVESPRITE: im used to only feeling things ironically
DAVESPRITE: feeling things unironically is a bit new to me
JUNE: oh
DAVESPRITE: so
DAVESPRITE: do you really mean it when you say you want to kiss me?
JUNE: yes!
DAVESPRITE: so you want to practice kissing with me?
JUNE: i just want to kiss you!
DAVESPRITE: uh
DAVESPRITE: sick
DAVESPRITE: i could kiss you
DAVESPRITE: but in an ironic way or an unironic way?
JUNE: uhm...
JUNE: unironic preferably :B
DAVESPRITE: sweet
DAVESPRITE: i could go for that
JUNE: well than get over here and kiss me!
DAVESPRITE: yeah i can do that for sure
DAVESPRITE: no problem

Davesprite looked over at June, feeling a lump in his throat. He was reasonably nervous about kissing the girl. Not because he didn't want to, but because he had never kissed anyone before.
It was totally out of his expertise.
So, what was a feathered cool guy like him, who has absolutely kissed no one ever, supposed to do in order to somehow successfully kiss his non feathered friend?
Well, don't ask Davesprite, he didn't know. He didn't have a clue.
But he did however, have a girl he needed to kiss. So, he had to somehow kiss the girl.
So he strode over to June.
She was sitting on the couch, in her blue Lacoste and frilly white skirt. She didn't look half bad, not that Davesprite had ever seen a girl look better but, June didn't need her ego inflated.
JUNE: hi dave sprite!
DAVESPRITE: hi june
June shifted over on the couch and pat the space next to her.
JUNE: here, come sit!
DAVESPRITE: okay
Davesprite sat down next to June, slightly shifting closer to June. June just giggled.
Oh how Davesprite was jealous of her. She was so nice and kind and lovely and pretty and beautiful and silly and cute and maybe Davesprite liked her too much. Maybe he was too attached to her.
Davesprite subconsciously shifted in his seat, his feathers fluttering slightly. June just tilted her head and nudged him with her arm.
JUNE: you okay dave sprite?
DAVESPRITE: uhhh
DAVESPRITE: yeah im just nervous i guess
DAVESPRITE: oh wait no im not
DAVESPRITE: why would i be nervous im so cool
JUNE: uhhh… okay!
JUNE: i'll believe you! :B
JUNE: but dave sprite… it’s okay to not kiss me you know!
JUNE: i just thought it would be a silly little thing we could do! :B
DAVESPRITE: no were going to kiss
DAVESPRITE: it is going to happen
DAVESPRITE: im just calculating stuff
DAVESPRITE: so it can be an optimal kiss you know
JUNE: well i think that’s a load of funny business! i think you’re just stalling >:B
JUNE: don’t force yourself to kiss me dave sprite!
DAVESPRITE: im not!
DAVESPRITE: im doing this for many different reasons and i am not forcing it
DAVESPRITE: but i am also doing this because i am super cool and swag and you are too so obviously we have to kiss
DAVESPRITE: its law you know
JUNE: uhhh… okay! :B
DAVESPRITE: anyway
DAVESPRITE: now watch as the amazing dave elizabeth strider kisses june egbert
DAVESPRITE: it is going to happen right now
JUNE: june egbert waits in anticipation! :B
Davesprite shakily leaned towards June, bringing an orange hand up to cup her face, ever so lightly. June just smiled her toothy grin and Davesprite cocked his brow.
DAVESPRITE: why are you grinning like that
JUNE: you’re actually going to kiss me!
DAVESPRITE: well yeah obviously
DAVESPRITE: why wouldnt i
JUNE: idk! augh just kiss me already strider!
Davesprite leaned closer, fully prepared to kiss June. June wasn’t having it however, because she grabbed Davesprite’s face and smashed their faces together.
Davesprite flailed slightly, his other hand finding purchase on June’s thigh. June finally let go of his face and stopped being so aggressive with the kiss, letting Davesprite take more control.
The kiss wasn’t much, mostly just the two meshing their lips together, but the two pulled away quite happy. Even if both parties showed their happiness differently.
Davesprite wiped his lips, a small smile playing on his face. He still mostly kept his aura of composure though. June was practically the opposite, she was all smiles and didn’t even bother hiding her excitement.
JUNE: we should do that again!
DAVESPRITE: okay i guess we could one day or something
JUNE: well not one day! maybe like, tomorrow?
DAVESPRITE: maybe
DAVESPRITE: ill have to check my schedule
JUNE: you and i know you don’t have anything else to do except maybe hang out with some other friends!
DAVESPRITE: bold of you to assume i have friends
JUNE: what about me?
DAVESPRITE: oh
DAVESPRITE: uhhh
JUNE: what?
DAVESPRITE: i dont know i just thought we might be like
DAVESPRITE: something else
DAVESPRITE: sorry
JUNE: oh.
JUNE: uhhh well! if you want to be more than friends than we can be!
JUNE: i don’t know i just thought you were too cool for that sorta stuff! :B
DAVESPRITE: pffft
DAVESPRITE: im hardly cool at all
DAVESPRITE: but uh
DAVESPRITE: yeah we could be more than friends
DAVESPRITE: so like
DAVESPRITE: best friends
DAVESPRITE: or
DAVESPRITE: more than that
JUNE: what ever you want!
DAVESPRITE: well damn
DAVESPRITE: i guess i wouldnt mind being your boyfriend
JUNE: and i wouldn’t mind being your girlfriend!
June smiled radiantly at Davesprite and he smiled back. The smile was shakier than he’d like but at least his voice hasn't cracked yet. He couldn’t bear embarrassing himself in front of his wonderful new girlfriend.
