Amity knows Luz’s education is important, but that doesn’t stop her from missing her girlfriend when she is out of the house for hours most days. She keeps herself busy chatting with her friends about their new experiences in the human realm and their attempts to get back to the Boiling Isles, but she often thinks about Luz.
So, when Luz returns from school, Amity hurries into the hallway and meets Luz the moment she and Camila enter the house. And Amity just steps forward and gives her girlfriend a cuddle.
“Welcome back,” she says, and Luz returns the hug.
