A Little Pizza Love

Summary:

Kirishima is just a pizza delivery man trying his best in life but then he meets a pizza delivery man, Bakugo, from a rival pizza company. Bakugo and Kirishima both have a similar passion for delivering pizza and this sparks a strong detest with one another. But once there is an outbreak of pizza delivery murders, they spend more time together to try to find who is behind the murders.

Notes:

This is an AU of My Hero Academia where it is set in a universe where suoobway and Pizza Haat are rival companies and the two main characters, Bakugo and Kirishima, are working for rival companies. This is mainly going to be Kirishima centric however some chapters are going to be from Bakugo's POV and some of the other characters. This is mainly satire so don't go into this thinking this is going to be very serious.
Also all rights belong to Kohei Horikoshi.
I am also sorry for any pizza puns used in this fic.

I am planning on uploading these chapters weekly on Sunday's.

Chapter 1: Giving them a Pizza of My Mind

Chapter Text

The pizza was getting cold. I needed to make the pizza delivery on time to ensure the financial safety of the company. Ever since that fast food place opened up their own pizza branch the company has been struggling with reputation. Yes the company as a whole is doing well but the local competition between that fast food restaurant is hell. We must ensure that we are the best place in the area. I carry the pizza box in my hand as if I am a posh waiter in a restaurant and sprint throughout the town. I go to the traffic lights and thankfully the green man is there so I am allowed to cross the road. However as I am sprinting across the road, for my life, for my job and the restaurant's financial security, I see a motorbike flash before my eyes and I feel my legs slipping back. I am now falling towards the earth and the pizza box is flying through the air, the box opening up. The delicious Hawaiian pizzas, beautiful toppings and cheese and the perfectly stuffed crust flashes before my eyes before they smash onto the ground becoming mush and losing all its glorious flavour.

The motorbike came to a halt on the road after it nearly hit me. I am pleased to see that at least they were aware of the crime they had committed against me but as I sit up right I notice the logo on the back of the rider's shirt. Of course it was them. They were a suoobway worker. Of course they were, our rivals hardly treat us as if they even exist. They got off the bike which was surprising to me, and they walked over to me and they took their helmet off, their long hair flipping in slow motion as they did before it fell down by their side. Slowly I stood up, my feet struggling after the severe injury they bestowed upon me. However I knew that I had to get up, not just for myself but for the reputation of the restaurant, not just the restaurant but the entire food chain itself. They walked over to me, and I quickly prepared my rant to them to try and destroy the place's reputation.

" Well, I was honestly shocked that a person would try to hit someone with their motorbike when they didn't even know that person but then I noticed that you were a subway employee and I knew that this disgraceful behaviour was common among you people," I said to them with great enthusiasm.

"Actually I would have you know that I was very worried about harming a human but then when I saw you were a pizza haat employee I knew that even if I hit you I wouldn't have harmed a human, " he replied and his response only angered me.

"  Thanks to you, my pizza is now dirty and is mush. So you will pay the consequences for what you have done."

" I'm sorry, but that pizza came from Pizza haat. Before it even landed on the ground the pizza was dirty and a mush." His  response only angered me further and I gave them a smug smirk.

" Well due to your actions I will be reporting your actions to your company and will probably result in you getting fired," I lift my hand up and uncover their name tag like a dramatic reveal in a movie, " Bakugo. Well that's what  I would do if I lacked a heart just like a suoobway employee, but due to me being a pizza hut employee I shall give you another chance!" I smugly exclaimed as I walked over to pick up the half-squashed pizza box.  Bakugo only laughed a bit at me before they headed over to their motorbike.

" You know,  whatever your name is ( although I don't care), one day we will be asked to deliver food to almost exactly the same location and well, I can assure you I will be there quicker, with warmer pizza and will get a better review than you will. And then you will see the superiority of my subway to your pizza hut. Now goodbye dumb hair. I would say I hope you deliver a good pizza but we both know that won't happen!" he says, almost yelling as he gets on their motorbike. As they leave I can only look at their departure with frustration. I hold the pizza box under my arm and walk back to the restaurant. I now must explain the whole predicament to the manager there and I may have gotten fired but once they hear it is a suoobway employee that caused my tardiness then they will understand fully. Although this should be the only time I see the suoobway employee (well that's what I thought at the time). Anyway I still need to ensure my delivery so I must run back to the Pizza hat and get the pizza to ensure a swift and manly delivery.

Despite what it might seem, with what happened with these 2 employees, no one else at pizza hat and suoobway particularly cares about a rivalry. Most employees only care about being paid and well who wouldn't. However these two employees saw everything in a dramatic way and practically made up a rivalry in their heads. Of course fast food chains and restaurants compete against each other but most employees don't care as it doesn't affect them, to a certain extent. These two took it a bit too seriously and saw their predicament as if they were in a drama. Of course this would not be the last time these two had an argument over a practically non-existent rivalry.

After the insulting incident with the subway person, Bakugo, I started to head back to Pizza hat. I had to make this delivery, not just for the customer on the other end, or my career but for the whole pizza hat loving kind. I start to rush back to the pizza hut and grab my phone and call my co-worker, Mina.

“Mina, I don’t have time or patience to explain but I need the best Hawaiian pizza to be made as soon as possible, not just a simpleton pizza but the manliest pizza in this town, neigh, the manliest pizza the world has ever seen.”

“I mean, you do realise that the chef is not a master at pizzas, the first time they started making pizzas was last week. Also even if they get it ready quick enough, it will probably not be ready in time for you to get back.”
“It doesn't matter, they just need to believe in the pizza way to make the pizza. Please we must do this for the future career of Pizza hat”

I continued on talking about the cultural significance of the pizza hut but then I realised she had hung up a while ago. Despite the entire competition between the two places everyone in the pizza hat seems to not care as much as me.

I sprint with my full force, sweat running down my face and yet I still ran. I flew into the pizza hut doorway and ran to the kitchen but I was told that the pizza was not ready yet. I rush over to one of the waiters who I notice is about to serve a Hawaiian pizza to the customers, grab the pizza, apologise and then throw the pizza into a pizza box. I then ran out of the pizza hut restaurant and flew my way over to the location of the customer. Oh, this will show Bakugo, this will show them good.

It took me several minutes to get to the location of the customer but when I finally got there, I quickly knocked on the door and saw the customer open the door,

“Pizza time,” I say while breathing like I had just ran a marathon.

“Thank you,” the customer said in a deep croaky voice as if he was Batman from the The Dark Knight trilogy. “Here’s your pay,” and they pulled out a DVD case from behind his back, gave it to me and then began to close the door. The man appeared to have a fairly manly appearance, red spiky hair and a stern looking face however the majority of it was in the shadows.

“Sir, we only accept money for our Pizzas,” I say. He then looked me dead in the eyes and said

“One day you will understand, that is the most valuable thing ever, you came looking for paper notes and now you've been given the DVD equivalent of gold.” The look in his eyes showed me some great wisdom that I would later learn on my pizza hut journey. He then closed the door behind him.

I look down at the DVD and observe with my eagle eyes that this DVD is in fact shrok. I gathered this information by reading the title of shrok on the DVD case .I realised from this DVD that I have been given new knowledge about how to take down the suoobway pizza sub-section. I knew but that look in his eyes that the man knew something about the industry, a senior to me, he will be my pizza master from now on. He will teach me to be a manly delivery man.

Notes:

I first started writing this story over a year ago after I did an exam so that's why the writing style may be a bit weird. I then continued to write the story six months later, so everything written after the italics was written quite significantly later so that's why there may be a shift in tone. I first didn't write this story with My hero characters in mind but decided to change it to being that way after talking with one of my friends about it, so the characters may not be very similar personality wise to the canon in this first chapter.
Anyway I have a decent outline of how this story is going to go. I am open to any feedback you may have of this story.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter and again a big shootout to my beta reader apartfromheartburn
