Chapter Text
“Congratulations, you are chosen to be the director of this season.”
“Thank you, sir, I will not disappoint.”
“This is the old director's number. If you have any questions please feel free to contact him.”
Tsumugi takes his number and puts it in her purse.
“Is there anything else I’m supposed to know before going?”
“Uhm…I think the new Robot is supposed to be in your season so don’t forget to contact our mechanical team as well.”
“Under-”
“Oh! Sorry, but we still don’t have a place to host the killing game yet.”
“Wait, sir. I understand not having it built but-”
“After an explosive finale, they discover an underground gas pocket. According to the inspector, it’s not that dangerous but opening it will cause the gas to leak and our lawyer says that it will make it become our reliability because releasing gas at this concentration is illegal.”
“The season is starting in 10 months!”
“Also, people are bored of the memories pill. Please do something about it.”
“But-”
“Also, I think Rantaro will join this season as well, if he dies be ready to deal with the backlash.”
“O-Okay? What about the other survivor?”
“They killed themself.”
“Ahh, so do I need to address that?”
“Up to you. Also, the board wants you to have an ultimate detective in the season, Y’know, in case the audiences play around and don’t solve the case.”
“I-I guess I can do that.”
“Well, I think that’s all.”
Tsumugi calms herself down. “Thank you, sir.” She leaves.
“...I forgot to ask for the mechanic's number.”
“Uhm, excuse me, miss. You are the new director right?”
Tsumugi stops dealing with her paperwork and looks up at the new person who just entered her room. “Yes, do you need something?”
“Hello, I am from finance. These are the recommended places to host the killing game you asked for.” The new guy walks to her table and hands over the paper. “Now, I know that you are not taking any sponsor but-” a knock interrupted his sentence.
“I’m from the art direction, May I come in?” the new person knocks and asks for formality but then instantly walks in. Tsumugi doesn’t get any respect.
“The stage department wants to know when will they know the place of the killing school will be?”
Tsumugi sighs and takes the paper from the finance team. Most of the options are over budget but she doesn’t have much time to think, the game can’t be postponed so she has to make a quick decision.
She decides on one. Now that she has one she just has to actually get the place. It’s probably not hard because this is Danganronpa, and everyone wants them to use the place.
The art team has overblown her decisions. She just says that that one is the most likely but they go ahead and design the school dome already. She still has 10 more departments to go through before actually getting the place.
Luckily she gets through most of them. Most. The part that is the biggest pain is the stage department. They say that it’s too big.
…It’s too big and after checking the place herself it also has a weird drop at the edge. “We have an idea to put the courtroom here,” The stage department tells her.
She gets a complaint from the legal department and the village nearby about all the construction she has to do. She throws it back at them, does nothing, and drinks herself to sleep.
The flashback light doesn’t work. What is she supposed to do? If the memories slowly come then she can work with this but it doesn’t work. What is she supposed to do? The old director’s number she got is useless because he died in an accident. She drinks and goes to another meeting right after. Either her coworkers don’t care or don’t notice, she doesn’t care which.
The marketing wants her to go to a conference to promote the show and the audition. She doesn’t even own a car and even she knows how long she will be stuck in traffic. Why can’t they invent teleportation already? She also needs bodyguards. How do you hire bodyguards? Is there a bodyguard company?
Someone almost kidnapped her. According to the police, they did it to know the season early, not knowing the storyline wasn’t even done. If they succeed at least she will get an extension. She hates today, and because the bodyguards are still with her she can’t even go to a bar to drink her problem away.
The robot is insane. You give it a goal and it will kill to clear it. The good news is that the movement works perfectly. Bad news, one of the mechanics wants paid leave and damage compensation. Good news, that’s HR's problem and not hers. Bad news, HR makes it hers as well.
She hates having to deal with Idabashi. The guy is insane and not in a good way. He wants to build 5 giant robots that roam around the place and deal with the participants and he wants his Hope Robot to have a laser beam to fight them. Somehow he gets the art team to design it for him, the fact that it looks good pisses her off. She says that she will bring it up in the meeting but doesn’t expect it to pass. At least they have a name ready. The name "K1-B0" probably is going to pass but the concept of the "Exisal" probably will not.
“Idabashi,” she goes to the mechanic department and calls him. The entire team turns around and looks at her; they are both anxious and excited. She sighs and announces. “Congratulations, it passes.” The cheers are so loud it hurts her ears. Well, at least they invite her to the party. Cheap drinks are a lot more delicious than usual.
They don’t come to work today. The season is closing in and they are taking a day off. They still haven’t started on the Exisal. She is jealous but she still has to deal with the coming audition. “Why did everything have to pass through me first?” she asks no one and no one answers.
According to the audition team, over 100,000 people have auditioned is a good thing. How the hell did they sort through all of them? She also wants to know did she really has to deal with the 100 people that pass. This season has 14 slots and one of them has to be a detective. Why does her team want her opinion on this? She checks and it’s not on her job. They say that it is because of her old job but her old position is in the costume department. She knows that they are lying.
Good things finally happen, the flashback light works. Bad news, they can’t restore the memories that have been overwritten. Another bad news, they are stupid enough to test it on one of the members of the team, and right now they forget their name. The tech team lost a member today.
“Does the flashback light work on Robot?” She thinks this is a fair question to ask but to her employee, it’s an insult. “Obviously, it works. Mugi, we are not stupid,” they tell her.
They are stupid. They made a jetpack for K1-B0 and when they tested it it worked on the first try, their stupidity just made them make K1-B0 fly too far for the control signal. K1-B0 dropped from 50 kilometers. She remembers laughing at their faces. Also, they need to fix the robot from scratch. Her accountant will probably try to kill them. That’s HR’s problem.
Oops, someone finds her house. Where should she move to?
“Boss, is the rumor true? Are you living in the office?” The season is important. Why do they care about some plainly baseless rumor? Is it because of a new toothbrush in the bathroom? Is it because her office sofa has way too many pillows? Is it because she increased the budget of the janitor or the air conditioning has been upgraded?
“Boss, you can at least deny it.”
For some reason people start doing OT more and more, is it her fault? Tsumugi is pretty sure it’s not but no matter the reason, her office gets the most committed to the work award and she’s not complaining.
HR comes to her to talk about how she is overworked and needs rest. The records show that Tsumugi does OT every day for weeks. She chooses to ignore this and stay in the office the entire day. She still has to sort out the voice actor for K1-B0.
Today is the day she decides who is going to get in. 20 people are selected and the main 14 get called here. She wants to have all of them in one place to explain once but the schedule makes her have to do it multiple times.
The guy who will be Shuichi Saihara is extremely enthusiastic about this. He says he read the email the second it came. He also has a lot of ideas to share. Before anything, she has to have him sign a contract.
He doesn't read it. She gets his signature instantly. She spent the whole day discussing with legal on what needs to be in and the kid doesn't read it.
"Great to be working with you ma'am, uhh... Can I call you ma'am?"
"Call me whatever. But remember to keep the fact that you got in a secret," As she says these words she sees his heart broken.
"Wh-Why? Can you tell me why?"
"...There are some people we reserve just in case something happens, I can't give you the number but it's a lot."
"Sorry, but what does this have to do with keeping it a secret?"
"Aren't you supposed to be the ultimate detective? Here is a hint, will you kill for this role?"
He doesn't answer. Now that he understands what she meant he is disappointed in himself for not getting it at first.
Eventually, he leaves. She still has 13 people to go through.
Good Thing 1, they all show up. Good thing 2, they all sign the contract. Good thing that pissed her off 1, none of them read the damn paper. Bad thing 1, one of them broke her pen. Bad thing 2, one of them spills her coffee on her pillow. Bad thing 3, one of them gets assassinated. Good thing 3, she hasn't started working with their characters yet. Bad thing 4, the costume department comes to complain.
The construction team gets into an argument with the architect. What is she supposed to do here? They all prepare to present their case to her like she's a judge. How is she supposed to know what works best?
The architect can suck it. The problem is just that they made the school too small and they will have too much wasted space. Who cares? The place will be mostly abandoned anyway.
The Exisal can't get into the school. She hates the looks on the construction team when she tells them to make the hangar. The mechanic team owes her a drink for making her tell them.
They bring it to her office. How the hell is she going to hide the bottle?!
She buys a wine glass and just leaves it in the open and instead of thinking of her as an alcoholic they think of her as classy. She just needs to hide the label on the bottle and no one will know except the damn tech team.
They finalized the cast and their Ultimate. She gets to be a cosplayer. She still wants to know what the Ultimate Supreme leader is supposed to mean.
Rantaro is trying to make her life a living hell by asking for stuff that's too specific. He says it's to see if they read his demand or not but who fucking asks for indigo m&m and a bottle of water that has the label in Russian? Good thing that dealing with him is not her job. Her job is dealing with the complaints from the one who does.
The internet is fast and stupid. If someone says something loud enough it might be true even if it's not. This time it's in her favor, people think she is really committed to making the season good because they never see her leave the office.
The flashback light is not done. There is something else that needs to be done, the motive videos. She has to call the participant back in to film this. At least her team has the script ready.
The first guy is a disaster. "I guess I shouldn't have picked the person who doesn't care about their ultimate to be the astronaut," she hears the motive video director complain. She agrees with herself.
The actors who play Kaito's grandparents are skilled unlike him. But their voice is hard to record because of their hoarse voices.
"Come on, Kaito. You like your grandma, show some love too when you hug."
"That's not my name! Also, I'm fucking trying."
"You are him in this scene! Just think of her as your real grandma for fuck's sake," she tries to match his energy.
"I joined! Do you think they love me?"
"That's on me. But you still need to act happy!" They try another take and she's still not satisfied.
"Grandma, you are doing great. Idiot Kaito, try harder. Try to BE Kaito Momota!"
"I'm trying! Y'know you can-"
"We are not giving you the memory."
"Come on! It will be faster!"
"It won't!" because it's not done but she's not going to say that. "Just think of them as your family or someone important."
Kaito looks sad. "I-I don't…don't. I will try my best."
She thinks she hit a landmine. She might feel bad if she didn't rent this set for 3 hours and time is running out.
"Kaito, were you happy when I called you?"
"Huh? Oh, you are trying to make me feel better."
"Come on, Kaito," his grandparents call him. "Were you happy when you got the role?" They ask him.
"Well…yes but."
"Kaito, why do you join?" Tsumugi asks him.
"That’s not my…whatever. Isn't it obvious? Money and fame! I'm going to be rich!"
"You know that you could also die in there too, right?"
"I'm not going to die in there! Like I have said I am going to kill everybody and win."
Grandma chuckles. "If you win, don't forget to treat your grandma."
He laughs. "Sure! If you live long enough to see my glorious victory."
"You have a higher chance of dying than me."
He pulls both of his grandparents in for a hug. "We'll see about that."
*click* "Yeah that's good enough." Tsumugi finally gets her pictures done.
"Hey! At least warn me first!"
"Why? To make you stop being happy?"
"... Fine. Is the picture good enough?"
"Yes," Tsumugi knows it can be better but it's good enough. "How was it? Being Kaito."
"I feel… great. People actually care about me for once and do not think I am a nuisance. Can I keep this astronaut suit?"
"No, if you leak this you are dead. This is a threat, not a warning."
Kaito quickly takes his costume off and hands it over. She sees sadness in his eyes when he removes it.
"You don't have to wait for long until you get to be him."
"I know but…"
Tsumugi understands but no. She will not budge, she is busy and the grandparents’ scenes are not done.
The actors she picked are too good. They get the scene right on the third try, this will make her renting the place for 3 hours a waste of money since they didn't need that many. Kaito, who still hasn't left, is very impressed.
"Hey, why are you still here? Your part is all done."
"I was kinda hoping to catch a ride with someone."
"...I don't have a car."
"Can you ask someone to give me a ride?"
Tsumugi rolls her eyes and sighs. She calls a taxi for him. The payment is deducted from his account.
So, she just read Gonta's character sheet. The Costume Design likes it but how is she going to fly him out to record in the forest and keep the costume intact? Either she makes the VFX team deal with it or she makes the Costume Design angry.
Rantaro tries to assassinate her. I guess the therapy still wasn't enough. He might have experience in participating in a killing game but she has security guards and cameras.
…She hires a couple of new security guards because the old one gets stabbed by a green-haired normie. Their funeral isn't added to her schedule since it’s full. The murderer’s motive video still needs to be made.
Today, she wears black to work. The office is a little empty but that's fine. She has work that can be done alone. Today she gets a lot of work done since no one comes to interrupt. The drink runs out too fast and she is still awake.
Rantaro fires a complaint that they don't give him utensils anymore. His meal changes from a rice ball to a bowl of soup with a straw, paper straw.
Because she can't record Rantaro's survivor video because the school is still not done, she has to pick someone else.
Angie Yonaga is unexpectedly hard to film. At first, she just going to fly to some island but she needs people and society there as well. In the end, she has to use an abandoned village and a bunch of actors to fill the place. It takes a while to remove the rubbles from the volcano.
Angie tries her best. She is not as bad as Kaito but she's still not in character. It's hard for a person to instantly have the confidence to lead an entire island.
"Angie, what should we do!?"
"D-don't fear. Just have faith in Atua and-"
"Cut! Angie your smile drops and don't stutter." Tsumugi is not in a good mood because she thought that she has no time limit this time but the sun going behind a cloud makes her know that the light is still on a timer.
"Sorry, A-Angie will try her best! Please let her try again."
Tsumugi lets her while trying to calm Angie down.
"Boss, I think she is nervous. Maybe you can be nicer?"
"She suddenly got fly out to nowhere and was told to put on a bikini and to act as a stranger's oracle. I don't think being nice will calm her stress down that much."
"I guess we can try removing the islanders and editing in post."
"And make the VFX team try to kill me? No, I already made too many enemies and the VFX is already overworked and underpaid."
"Ma'am, How was that?" Angie asks after finishing one of the scenes uninterrupted. She eagerly waits for her answer. The take is good but Tsumugi pretends to think because if she answers it nonchalantly, Angie might think that she didn't do good enough.
"It's good."
Angie smiles brightly but that is unusable because it breaks character, Angie is supposed to be confident. This smile shows a girl that she was lost and finally found the light, not the girl who always lives in the light.
Angie still has other scenes to film but the sun is being a coward and hides behind a cloud so they have to stop. Angie is on fire so Tsumugi has to keep her like this until the sun stops being a bitch.
"Angie," Tsumugi calls her. Angie is a little nervous now.
"Want to see your own take?" Tsumugi asks.
Angie thinks and nervously nods.
Angie sees herself on screen and she is immersed. "That's me?"
"Yep, that's Angie Yonaga the leader of this island."
"She's…beautiful."
"I know."
"She looks dependable and fearless."
Tsumugi wants to point out the sweat from the previous take that makes her look like she is not fearless and was just trying her best but she decides against it. "That's you," she says. The sweat will have to be edited out later. The VFX are going to kill her.
"Wow…that's me."
Tsumugi notices that the sunlight is coming back so she does what normal people think. She calculates how long will it reach her and Angie and prepares a speech that will have the sunshine as an effect.
Tsumugi puts her hand on Angie's shoulder.
"Do you get who Angie is?"
Angie hesitates to answer, "I think I-"
Tsumugi interrupts her, the sunlight is coming and she won't wait for Angie's words. "Angie is beloved and brave. She can be smart or naive but the thing she always is is confident. She knows that everything will be fine because of her God that's why she smiles. I know that you might not believe in Atua but you don't have to. You can just believe in Angie."
As she finishes, the sun shines on the camera and Angie turns to see herself but she doesn't think it's her. It's Angie.
"Do you believe in Angie? As long as you believe, you will be graced by her greatness."
"Angie…believe in Angie." She finally smiles in character. She eagerly goes to finish her part of the script.
"I should've wiped her sweat off."
Angie really wants to take the costume home but Tsumugi can't let her. She keeps begging the entire time they're on the private plane.
The commercial team asks her for the design of the characters in order for them to make the advertisement. She gives it to them. She also has a question “Why would they come to her and not the costume department?”
Apparently, the school is finished. The stage department now just has to design their lab.
“Mugi! Why is the artist lab so small? Can you increase our team size?”
“Can’t you just extend the wall?”
“We need 2 exits!”
“I mean the stair side.”
“That is for the water and electricity, according to them at least.”
“They finished wiring? That’s fast.”
“No, they haven’t. It was just like that when we got the blueprint.”
“Then, explain to me plainly, how am I supposed to help.”
“Well…I don’t actually know. I just ask you since you are the director.”
“get out…”
“Can we exchange with the computer room?”
“No.”
“... Goodbye then.”
After watching her co-worker leave, she thinks to herself, “Isn’t the computer room smaller?”
“Boss, why the hell is your lab this fucking massive?”
She can’t believe her subordinate dared question her decision.
“Also, I don’t remember anyone adding the bar in the COSPLAYER lab.”
“...”
“How the hell do you get it past the board?”
“I didn’t.”
“Is someone in our team doing this to appease you somehow?”
“No…”
“So you just add it in on your own?”
“For the record, I didn’t abuse my director power.”
“Just your old “stage department” power.”
“What do you want?
“Make our anthropologist lab bigger.”
“...Vertically.”
“Deal.”
Today is the day she scheduled to record Ultimate Inventor footage. Good thing that she already has the place to film ready.
“Hey! You never say you would use the place today.”
“Idabashi shut the fuck up. I did. You can see your colleagues getting out and moving stuff away.”
“Yeah, she sent the mail out weeks ago.”
“Who reads the mail!? Just walk in and tell us yourself!”
“I did.”
“She did.”
“Fucking hell.” He begrudgingly moves his stuff.
She watches him getting his robot out of the way for the stage team to put some props down. Now what’s left is for the actress to show up.
Miu shows up on time, well kinda. She just keeps walking around in the lobby since she isn’t brave enough to actually walk in and the front desk won’t walk her here. Tsumugi calls her.
“Hello, are you [redacted]?”
“Um, yes.”
“Are you here yet? The set and everything is ready for you.”
“Y-Yeah I’m at the front desk.”
“Well, good! Just walk here. We’ll be waiting.”
“O-Okay. S-See you soon.”
Tsumugi doesn’t hang up. She knows that if someone gets picked they will come to the place hours early; she knows that there is a reason they don’t show up yet.
“Oh! Sorry. We haven’t given you the map yet, right?” Tsumugi says to make the actress not at fault and calms her down a little.
“O-Oh no problem. I-It’s also my fault for not a-asking.”
Wow, I hope she doesn’t stutter during the session. “Don’t worry we’ll send someone to get you. You are still at the front desk, right?” Tsumugi is already on her way during the conversation.
“Yes.”
“See you there!” she says in a happy tone. She is acting. She is not angry or anything but she’s just in her serious mode so a happy tone would be lying since she is not happy.
Miu is standing when Tsumugi shows up. At first, Miu shows hesitation when Tsumugi appears. Tsumugi can guess that someone else walked in before and Miu awkwardly waited for them to say something to her. Tsumugi walks up to her.
“Hello, are you the actress for Miu Iruma?”
Miu looks at Tsumugi before saying anything. She is investigating and guessing her rank. Today, Tsumugi is in her full business suit which makes Miu think that she is just some normal office girl; her logic is that the director can wear anything and only losers have to wear something formal, Tsumugi just has another meeting today, normally she will wear whatever she wants.
“Yeah! You’re here to take me to whatever the set?” Miu is a lot less nervous and acts brasher.
That’s good. I hope she doesn’t have stage fright.
Tsumugi then leads her to the mechanic department. Miu keeps getting more anxious. She is basically in panic mode when they reach the set and everyone calls Tsumugi “director.” Miu never says anything too rude to Tsumugi but she’s still very much anxious. Tsumugi doesn’t notice this so she just calls Miu to change into her costume. Miu doesn’t react much to her costume except for the spiky necklace.
Miu just has to act loud and obnoxious while pretending to do engineering stuff. She acts better than expected since to act smart sometimes you just have to shut up and Miu can do that. The thing Miu can’t do is make Idabashi satisfied and stop complaining to Tsumugi.
“What is that supposed to be? Is she welding the floor?”
“Please shut up. She is trying her best. We set something to block what she is actually doing.”
“Well, it can be better.”
“It’s just basic footage of her. it doesn’t need to be- CUT! Great job! We are taking a break.”
During a break, Miu is completely alone. People have friends to talk to and Miu is alone. The longer the break the longer Miu is tortured. Tsumugi doesn’t know this either she just waits for the next scene to be ready.
The next scene is Miu with her sponsor and telling them to fuck off and telling the other group okay reluctantly. Miu passes this scene amazingly, she really likes having powers to tell people to fuck off and they still have to beg her for her ability.
“Great job!” Tsumugi tells her. “Now, that we get all the take here let’s move on to the next.”
“OK! What’s next!?... Bitch!” Miu tries to extend her boundaries. Tsumugi doesn’t mind.
“The medical room. You have to change into surgical clothes.”
They move to the surgery room.
“Why…the fuck… do you have surgery room in the office?”
“Ehh, people die here. We have many people dying when they test out a murder method.”
Miu nods understandingly.
The scene is pretty easy to film since Miu just has to lay there and wait for other actors to do their job.
The next scene is Miu getting hit by a car. Tsumugi informs her.
“Do you want to actually get hit by a car?”
“How am I supposed to answer that?”
“Not a yes. Let’s go outside.” They start walking.
“This time you need to just not look at the car and that’s it. We might make you look at your phone or whatever but don’t be scared when the car gets close.”
Miu screams, which is fine. They will just remove the sound and they’re done.
“Good job. Now we’re done with everything now.”
“W-Wait, there’s more right? There are still scenes of me being a boring talentless loser that you still haven’t filmed.”
“You’re not wrong but you’re old. We’ll have other actresses act in your place. Now, please give our costume back.”
Miu hesitates but she still has to do it. Staffs take it and go away. Miu still stands there awkwardly.
“...Do you want me to walk you out?” Tsumugi asks. They’re right next to the exit but not the same one Miu came from.
“Yes.” Miu answers.
While they walk, Tsumugi takes her phone out just in case.
“How are you getting home?”
“T-That’s none of your business!”
“That’s also my business. I don’t want you to die before the season starts.”
“I-I can go home on my own.”
“...How? Do you need a taxi or…?”
“I’ll find a way.”
“...You know, if you need help you can call us, not me though, I’m busy.”
Miu gets walked out of the exit, gets on her motorcycle, and leaves.
"Why not just tell me you have a motorcycle? Whatever, I still have a meeting," she thinks to herself and walks away. She calls the Stage department to get their stuff out of the mechanic room.
The office gets better laundry machines and better vending machines. Unrelated note, Yesterday Tsumugi fell and dropped her drink onto herself and the cafeteria was closed at the time.
The stage department wants to buy 100,000 books. Why did she approve a library? The stage department also wants to buy 200 movies to fill the AV room.
The legal team has a concern, what happens if the audience just decides to watch movies all day? If they watched the entire thing, the movie would need to be in their right to show it.
K1-B0 hates movies. K1-B0 hates every SciFi stuff and that includes movies. What a fitting and good personality for a robot.
Idabashi doesn’t like makeup but he has to endure it since he doesn’t want an actor to portray him. The first scene is K1-B0 “hurting” him.
They decide on a tasteful cut. By zooming in on Idabashi's scared face and just cutting to black with a scream in the background. Idabashi doesn’t like this. He wants a full-on fight scene. He wants to really get hurt. “At least he is committed,” Tsumugi thinks.
They finish way faster than expected, the rest is just Professor Idabashi talking to K1-B0. She leaves early and hopes they can get it right.
They get it right.
Parts of the dome fall. No one is injured, that’s good. Bad news, it rips the entire wiring of the dome which means more money has to be spent on the damn set, at least she can reuse the set for the next season.
Question. How do you put a piano through a normal door? Also what music should the ultimate pianist have? Classical? Pop? Jazz? All? Also, what should the ultimate pianist have as her music player? a full studio speaker? A CD player? ALSO, WHO should actually play the piano in the music tape? Did she need to hire them to play everything?
K1-B0 hates recorded music, especially piano.
Did you know, it’s really hard to not leak the concept art that needs to be looked at by multiple departments? Rantaro leaks his new design just to make her life harder. She still doesn’t know why he hates her so much.
The storyline is shaping up to be a big space theme which is good since there’s an ultimate astronaut but because they can’t mess with the gravity so either they have to make the story end up with them on Earth or the planet they land on have the same gravitation force as earth. Either will work.
The Road of Despair team wants a bomb and people to test it. It’s a lot cheaper to ask for fans to volunteer but they can leak things.
A test was conducted and concluded that the bomb was too strong and the contestants would die if the road was attempted too many times.
They came up with a solution, just make the walkway very thin. A little force push off either side will knock them back to the beginning. Now they can lower the danger of the trap and increase the variety.
What do you do when people ask what drink to put in the Ultimate cosplayer lab?
So… the ultimate supreme leader lab falls from the fifth floor to the underground. Three people almost died. Two did. Is it her fault? Tomorrow’s dress is changed to black again.
Today there are not many people left but she still needs to film Rantaro's video since his lab is done. She could green-screen him in, but the VFX team already has a lot to deal with.
3 bodyguards are with her while taking Rantaro to the locations. He is not stupid enough to try something because there are more people on the construction site, at least that’s what she hopes.
“You are the ultimate survivor. You will have a special message to yourself after the memory wipe and this one where we’re going to record.”
“No need for the motive video this time? Are you going to reuse the old one?”
“Correct.”
“Lazy. The old person would have been more productive.”
She doesn’t need to respond to that so she doesn’t.
Rantaro notices a big hole in the middle of the floor. “Hey, what happened here?”
“Change of plan.” She answers and walks into the ultimate survivor lab.
She sets up a camera and tells him to just record the video himself.
“Is the rule still the same?”
“Yes, right now nothing changed yet. You have 5 minutes on the video, cut can be suggested.”
Rantaro takes a chair and sits down in front of the camera.
“When will I be able to get the video in the game? We are on the top floor so it won’t be the first chapter, right?”
“Fifth chapter.”
