Izuku was just minding his business, scrolling his phone as he walked towards the elevators. He’d just said goodnight to his friends and classmates. It was a bit earlier then he typically went to bed for the weekend, but this week had been particularly vicious training-wise and he was exhausted. Since the defeat of All-For-One and the multiple procedures he had to undergo during his healing process, he learned the true importance of taking care of his body. Granted, that didn’t fully stop him from falling into old habits, but he was trying. That’s what mattered.
The elevator doors dinged open. Izuku stepped on, not even bothering to press a button as Black Whip just zipped out and pressed it for him. Just as the doors dinged to signal they were closing, something large flew past Izuku’s face, landing on his phone. It took him less than a second to identify the gray flying thing and promptly activate his quirk as complete panic overtook his very being. He screamed, twisting and running out of the elevator.
Izuku didn’t really pause to think about how obnoxious the reaction was or process rational thought. His only objective was to run to Katsuki and attach himself to the blonde for safety and protection. He didn’t even hear the few classmates who had called out at the sound of his scream. Nope, his one goal was his Kacchan. His once-rival-now-secret-boyfriend Kacchan. His safe place.
“KACCHAN!” Izuku screeched, his quirk shimmering around him as he promptly launched himself across the living room right into the blonde. Said blonde who had literally no warning before a glowing green greenette was flying at him.
Of course, Katsuki’s battle instincts mean he doesn’t fall over and he catches Izuku despite the greenette basically wrapping himself around Katsuki’s shoulders and head. It also gives him a pleasant handful of Izuku’s thighs and ass but Katsuki can’t really appreciate that with their classmates staring in confusion and Izuku scrambling for purchase while whimpering like a kicked puppy. Not to mention Izuku’s stupid flashy quirk was causing sunspots in his eyes.
“Deku, what the hell?!” Katsuki yelled, shifting his feet as he closed his eyes to stave off the burning sensation. Izuku just let out another whimper and his hands tightened in Katsuki’s hair and shirt. Katsuki huffed in irritation, jerking his head back to knock against Izuku’s chin in hopes of getting the greenette to back off a bit. When that didn’t work, Katsuki bounced on his toes, jostling Izuku in an attempt to destabilize him. A couple bounces and Izuku’s grip slips, allowing Katsuki to hook both hands under his nerd's thighs and wrap Izuku’s legs around his waist. Katsuki raises a brow as Izuku’s arms lock around his neck and he gets a near mouthful of green curls from the nerd tucking his head into Katsuki’s neck.
“Uh… Bakubro?” Shitty Hair has both hands up placatingly as he toes a little closer. Katsuki sneers at him and backs up a step. Izuku let out another whine, drawing Katsuki’s attention again. Realizing something had actually scared Izuku had Katsuki on full guard. Very few things scared Izuku since the defeat of All-For-One. War tends to desensitize you.
“Deku?” Katsuki grunted again. Izuku just whimpered, snuggling even closer.
“Kacchan!” He practically sobbed. Katsuki sobered up some more, eyes narrowing as he tried to think of what had his nerd so distressed. None of their friends were injured, he was not injured, there was no chance of Izuku somehow losing him, and, after a quick visible check, Izuku was not injured. Something was fluttering in the back of Katsuki’s head. He was forgetting something, but couldn’t think of it. Sighing in defeat, Katsuki’s face softened.
“Baby, what’s the matter?” Katsuki hums, pressing a kiss to Izuku’s head. He didn’t even think about the fact that the majority of their classmates had just overheard the question as Izuku finally pulled his head back. His nerd’s green eyes are bloodshot and filled with fat tears, drawing a coo from him as he starts to sway them slightly.
“T-There was a-a m-m-moth,” Izuku hiccuped, burying his head back under Katsuki’s chin. All the adrenaline pumping through Katsuki screeches to a halt. Annoyance bubbled in his veins as he clenched his jaw in frustration. Yep. There it is. The one fucking thing he forgot on the list.
Izuku Midoriya, Hero Deku, the one who defeated All-For-One, is terrified of moths. Fucking. Moths.
“Really Deku? Fucking really?” Katsuki snapped. He doesn’t even acknowledge his friends, just stomps past the couches with two wonderful handfuls of Izuku’s plush behind. Of course there would be a damn moth between Izuku and his bed. Why else would the nerd come running like that? As much as he wanted to be annoyed with the behavior, Katsuki was enjoying the fact he had his nerd wrapped around him. A lightbulb went off in the blonde’s head, hands squeezing Izuku’s ass as a feral grin crossed Katsuki’s features.
“K-Kacchan?” Katsuki looked down at his nerd’s teary green eyes.
“Ya know love… with that moth in the way, I think we might have to go to my room,” Katsuki purred with a cocky smirk. Izuku flushed red, eyes looking anywhere but at Katsuki before he sighed and nodded. Katsuki kept his hoot of joy to himself and began jogging up the stairs with renewed vigor. Hell yeah, it’s gunna be a good night.
The next morning, when the couple came down expecting to be bombarded with questions about their secret relationship, they were actually greeted with multiple red faces and no one was willing to look either boy in their eyes. Needless to say, Izuku was incredibly embarrassed while Katsuki preened with pride.
