Okay, let's do this one last time, sure? For real this time. This is it. My name is Felicia Weaver I was bitten by a radioactive spider. And for all I know, I am the one and only Spider-Woman.
Right. Well, that's not quite true. At least regarding the “Spider-Woman” part. I have had a lot of names over the last 5 years - Spider-Woman, Black Spider, ‘A menace to society,’ Thief. The list goes on but I don’t really mind what people call me as long as they don’t hate me.
It's a rivalry as old as time: the general public's demand for a hero vs what they need from a hero. I’m firmly in the camp of doing what needs to be done but because of this, I can’t exactly be a face of all that is good in New York. Not when I have Kingpin, Green Goblin, and the Lizard hunting me down. Which means I wear this mask to hide my identity and protect everyone I love.
