“Why didn’t you just tell me?” you ask, swinging your legs over the edge of your cot. You pat the spot next to you in silent invitation, which he takes, albeit hesitantly and with a tiny sigh.
“At best, I was sure you’d say no.” He leans forward, bracing his forearms on his thighs. “More likely, you’d ram a stake through my ribs. No. I needed you to trust me.” His voice dips into that lower pitch that caresses at something within you, “And you can trust me.”

You've always been drawn to the shadows, to the darkness and those who make the night their home. As the infamous assassin, the Shadow of Baldur's Gate, you're intimately familiar with lust, secrets, and death. You dance along the knife's edge between life and death with a smile as sweet as sin.
And now you have a tadpole living inside your brain threatening to turn you into a tentacle-faced creature unless you convince a rag-tag group of other survivors to help you find a cure. Among them being the charming rogue known as Astarion, whose secrets aren't quite so secret (to you, at least) and his sex appeal positively intoxicating (especially to you).
