Shino looked down at Lee as he watched him read some book he'd been invested in for the past few minutes. He never minded the quiet the two shared, the roles would be switched easily no problem and Shino wasn't a man of many words to begin with. He'd take the time to think or play in Lee's hair for whatever reason, that seemed to always interest him. He'd seen Lee with his classic short style, but sometimes he would let it grow out after cutting it to his usual style if he felt like it. It grew fast anyways.
His hands began to comb through the others hair with the occasional switch to softly massaging the others scalp before going back, watching the other's eyes relax as the motions continued for however long it did. Lee grew somewhat impatient this time as he felt his face grow hot and his mind trailing off, unable to focus on the book he held in front of him. He took a moment to breathe and look up at Shino with a flustered stern look.
"You're usually not bothered by this."
The other spoke before Lee could get a word out, but that was to be expected. Shino picked up on things quickly and sometimes Lee wouldn't have to say much, usually because his emotions would display on his face, like now. So it wasn't hard at all to figure out what Lee felt or thought of.
"Well, this time's different."
"Why is that?"
Lee's eyes averted as he tried to think of what could possibly be the reason, letting his hands fall forward on his chest with his book in hand.
Shino waited as he enjoyed the other trying to think, he always loved that about him. The way his eyes would furrow or his eyes would dart small movements as he thought.
"I.."
His eyes moving to the ceiling above him.
"I'm not sure."
Looking back at the one above him before looking back down to his book as he brought it back up to read.
"But I do not mind if you keep going."
Shino didn't speak in response and didn't hesitate to continue, this time trailing his fingers on Lee's head softly before combing through and continuing the motions repeatedly. Watching the other's eyes trail off with his face becoming slightly more tinted, all expressions on his face softening. He smiles slightly as he takes in the reaction before leaning down to kiss him softly, taking in the texture of his lips as theirs are pressed together for a slight moment before pulling away, bringing a small, faint whine from Lee. Shino smiles at the reaction. Soon after he uses his hand that's threaded into the other's hair to slightly pull. Lee's eyes and brows lift up at the action.
"Shino!"
A small, low chuckle comes from Shino as he loosens his grip before coming back down for another kiss, a smug smile worn on his face.
"Can't you wait until I'm done with this chapter?"
He palms the others mouth, stopping any contact from happening with his head shifted away slightly. Shino pulls away softly, taking Lee's hand to kiss it as he speaks
"You obviously don't want to."
"Sure, but this is a good part of the book."
Lee begins to smile as he feels his focus come back for a short while.
