Summary
Wei Wuxian settles behind Lan Zhan and gently cards his fingers along the silky locks, soothing away the little tangles and grime. And he gathers the strands and sweeps it aside to Lan Zhan's shoulder, exposing the long white column of his neck and his broad shoulders and his lithe back. Lan Zhan closes his eyes and leans back to Wei Wuxian's touch as his fingers press gently against Lan Zhan's scalp and down to his stiff shoulders.
Then Wei Wuxian's fingertips reach marred skin and freezes.
This is far from his first time seeing the scars, but their very existence still pains Wei Wuxian.
