Exploration (not continuing </3)

Summary:

The Welcome Home cast is quite curious about their human neighbor, and you are even more curious about them. How do they talk, move, and even eat? Well, you're about to find out!

Chapter 1: Introduction

Notes:

Howdy! Welcome to my... whatever this is!
Each chapter will center on a different character, and each chapter may be read on its own, but there is an overarching "story" to follow. The story is gender neutral and vague, allowing you to easily insert yourself and fill in the blanks with whatever you wish. (For example, "You put on clothes fitting for the sunny weather.") What are you wearing? Your choice, not mine!) The relationships you have with the characters are meant to be platonic but affectionate and empathetic (so if you prefer not to be touched... whelp-).

Everything in here is based on my interpretation of them if they were actually living beings existing in their world that you happened to stumble into. This was also inspired by Vitamin C by heavenfallen!

Also, if there's any typos/grammatical errors, I'm deeply sorry! I (probably) have dyslexia, and I just miss them most of the time :')

Chapter Text

You're someone who's found themselves amongst a colorful cast of living puppets– but that's a long story for another day.

Now having lived in the town of Welcome Home for a few months at this point, you found yourself unintentionally observing each of them intently, watching their movements with childlike wonder. The way their mouths move as they speak and how they're able to move their face and express, even the grumpy neighbor Frank isn't actually limited to their prominent frown; the way their hands and fingers, if they have them, move in conjunction with their words; the way they walk and bounce up and down with each step; how their personalities shine through their body language; and the small fact that they blink just fascinates you. Their emotions and uncanny similarities to you had freaked you out at first, this whole situation had freaked you out at first, but now that you've become comfortable with them, you've just became curious.

You're quite the affectionate person, someone who loves a good hug or cuddle, and so are most of the residents in Welcome Home. They care about you, and now you get to take a closer look at them to try and understand their anatomy...
