She woke up in a room in some place but not just in any place. She seemed to be in a massive castle.. and she was sitting on a throne, alone. She can’t help but geek out.
She got isekaid to a manhwa!
Ei thought, if she got really isekaid what was her role? Was she a villain? a hero? an empress? She looked at the side and picked a small mirror and looked at herself.
It was her, without the glasses that she always wore and with inazuman ancient clothes.
Suddenly, a guard entered her throne room and bowed to her. Ei immediately placed the mirror away and acted stern.
“Shogun, The Guuji is here to see you. Shall I send her away as usual or?”
Ei raised her eyebrows.
Who was this Guuji?
“Aight, send the Guuji in,” She spoke and the guard seemed confused but left to call for this Guuji person.
Later, her friend Yae Miko entered and her jaw dropped.
Her girlfriend also got reincarnated!
“Oh, Miko!” She stood up from her throne and looked at her excitedly.
“E-Ei?” Miko looked at her surprised, “Did you finally leave that plane of yours?”
“Huh? What plane?” She walked towards her and gave her a hug “I can’t believe you’re here! I thought I was gonna be.. though it doesn’t matter, this place is cool.”
Miko just looked at her.
“Why aren’t you speaking?” Ei frowned “And why are you dressed like that?”
“I always dress like this,” Miko says and examines her “Are you having a fever of some sort? Though it’s quite impossible for an archon to be sick.”
“Archon?” Ei tilted her head in confusion.
She didn’t listen during History class.
“You, you’re an archon,” Miko says worriedly “You’re the Shogun, are you messing with me?”
“Oh,” Ei nods in understanding, “that’s so cool.”
“Cool?”
“Yep,”
Miko placed both of her hands on her shoulders “What have you been reading?”
“Uh.. manga” She blurted out “novels the usual, why?”
“Why are you speaking some foreign words?”
“It’s not foreign, it’s the way we-“ Ei pauses and realizes that this was not her Miko.
There was an awkward silence as Miko continued to look at her.
“I’m just jesting,” Ei awkwardly laughs. “And I learned these words from a.. novel from Fontaine.”
“Oh,” Miko didn’t question any further “You’ve been reading behind my back, huh.”
“You make it seem like I’m cheating on you or something,”
Miko blushes “What? We are not… are you implying that we are?”
Oh, it seems like they weren't like that in this world.
“Jesting,” She shrugs, “So, what brings you here to my.. place?”
“To see you,” Miko simply said
Ei raised her eyebrows again then smirked smugly “To see me? Why? Have you missed me?”
Miko blushed again.
This was fun. It reminded her of those times when her Miko met her in a cosplay convention dressed up as her favorite character.
“Yes, yes I did,” Miko honestly said
Ei felt her cheeks warming “I see,”
She placed a hand on her head and pet her gently causing Miko to purr.
Ei didn’t know Miko could purr. She could see her ears twitching like a fox.
Oh, it's a Foxy Miko!
Ei gently rubbed her ears and it was so soft.
“Ei,” Miko mumbled “You’re giving me so much attention right now.”
“Do I not?” Ei wondered
“You’re always on that plane of yours,” Miko complains like a child, “you barely give me affection.”
“Oh, I see,” Ei mentally slapped herself, well her other self for not giving this cute foxy miko attention.
“I think my wish came true,” Miko mumbles
Ei heard and asked “What wish?”
“That you would agree to see me today,”
Ei couldn't help but coo at her.
“You’re different today,” Miko looks at her “Did my wish change you?”
“No, not at all,” Ei nervously laughs.
“You’re not my Ei, aren’t you?” Miko asks slowly “I know this is a silly question.. straight out of the novels from my publishing house but there is a possibility.”
“You’re right, I’m not,” Ei sighs
“Then where is she?”
“I-I don’t know,”
Miko frowned “Where are you from?”
“Modern Inazuma,”
“Modern..” Miko backs away and looks at her
“Yeah, like..” Ei made a weird gesture using her hands to form an airplane flying while mimicking some sounds.
Miko laughed, “you’re.. unique.”
“But, yes I’m from the.. Modern Inazuma.”
“So, how did you.. get here?”
“I dunno, I just woke up and I was sitting on that throne,” Ei shrugs. “It’s a nice throne by the way but it’s.. lonely.”
“It is,” Miko nods “She.. prefers it that way ever since..”
Oh
She wasn't alive in this world.
Ei nods “I see,”
“Do I exist in your.. place?” Miko asks
“You do,” Ei excitedly says “You’re my.. very good friend .”
Miko smiles “So our fates are really tied,”
“You can say so,” Ei reciprocated her smile “So tell me about this Ei,”
Miko nods and starts to talk about her in this world.
It felt like hours but Miko finally finished describing her Ei.
“You like her, don’t you?” Ei grins
“I- well yes,” Miko confesses “but don’t tell her.. I doubt she has any interest in that.”
“I mean I’m her..so I can’t technically tell her,” Ei giggles
“You’re right,” Miko pouted. “It’s so unusual for me to be talking with you like this.. I mean with her. It’s been years since we have..”
“Right,” Ei nods. “It’s sad how grief made her do that but you said she returned, right? Just give her time.”
“Yeah,”
“It’s so cute how you waited for her.. 500 years? Wow,” Ei crossed her arms “I ship you guys.”
“Ship us?” Miko tilted her head
“It’s like when I find these two people very cute so I pair them with each other,” She explains.
“That’s interesting,” Miko pressed her lips together. “Maybe, I should do that for the upcoming festival.”
“Yes!” Ei agrees “How about you write a story about you and her?”
“Isn’t that.. embarrassing?”
“Just don’t make it that obvious,” Ei told her and she felt excited about this whole thing. “Like name your character Yae Masako or something.”
“Brilliant idea,” Miko nods
They continued talking a lot more. Until it was already late and it was time for Miko to leave to do some of her duties.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Miko smiled at her. “It was nice meeting you, Ei.”
“You too,”

The next day, Ei woke up and she was back in her bed with Miko beside her.
She was back!
“Baby,” She poked Miko repeatedly until her girlfriend groaned and faced her.
“What?”
“Nothing,” Ei chuckles while admiring her.
She's just happy that she’s back.
“You’re so annoying,” Miko groaned again but she was smiling “You're lucky that you’re cute or I would’ve punched your stupid pretty handsome face.”
Ei just giggled.
“You know, you were so different yesterday,” Miko mumbles “You acted like a complete boomer, my love.”
“Oh?” Ei tried to act confused.
She bets that Ei was having a hard time.
“You even acted so shy with me!” Miko dramatically said “You wouldn’t kiss me goodbye.. I threatened not to renew your roblox premium. It didn’t even scare you.”
“Hey! Don’t cancel the subscription,” Ei begged and pulled Miko closer to her “That’s kind of funny though.. that I acted that way yesterday.”
“Yeah, I bet you were onto something,” Miko pecked her cheek “But it’s okay, I’m guessing you were just stressed on your project.”
“Probably,” She snuggled her “But.. you didn’t really cancel the subscription, right?”
“I didn’t, of course,” Miko just laughed
“What else did I do yesterday?” Ei asks curiously
“Well, if you go outside of our room you’ll see how you almost burned our kitchen..”
