   Summary

   This is a different kind of soulmate AU, a coming-of-age story, where the object of Elijah’s affections won’t be so easily won, not in the way it was intended. One could argue this is a more realistic depiction. It’s a sordid, cruel, and entirely helpless situation for all involved. Angela Gilbert, Jeremy’s twin sister, is far too young to be matched with a man over 1,000 years old, but callous Nature doesn’t care about plus or minus two years.

   A slightly more upbeat take: a 16-year-old absolutely decimates the Mikaelsons' egos by shouting Stranger Danger, and every other character acts as her chastity belt with stakes. But, Angela learns to take her story into her own hands and grapple with whatever Fate offers her.
