Chapter Text
Just like any other day, he got up, slowly stepping out of his bed as he watched his blanket which was draped over his legs move with him.
“Just one more day..” Izuku told himself as he got up, looking out his window and seeing the sun start to rise, the light pouring into the land below it.
Izuku walked over to his closet, grabbing his uniform, looking to the identical pair beside it which was now burned and singed, torn in most places.
“I’ll have to fix that once I get home..” He thought to himself, it wouldn’t be the first time he had to stitch back a worn down pair of clothing. He always had a problem with asking his mother for new things, it filled him with a sense of guilt, then dread when he saw her eyes full of guilt because she knew she couldn’t afford to buy her son new things.
As he grabbed his uniform, laying it out on his bed as he looked over to the mirror in the corner of his room, which was covered with a blanket because he had gotten so sick of looking at his body and all the reminders of everything he had gone through that had left marks on him.
Izuku walked over to his rooms door, which he had learned to keep closed because his mother had a problem with invading his privacy.
Opening the door and taking a step out, he’s hit with the blinding cold air conditioner and the usual quiet house. His mother had started taking early shifts quite some time ago so he was usually alone in the house.
It felt empty, although he was alone he always felt like something was watching him.. he had started to find comfort in the feeling.
As Izuku walked into the bathroom, he’s greeted by a reflection of himself in the mirror, messy hair, eye bags that made it look like he hadn’t slept in weeks, and his oh so emotionless eyes that had cried so many times they ran out of tears to cry with.
He quickly took a shower, washing out the dirt from his hair, yesterday his classmate’s thought it was funny to push him into the dirt while it was raining.. he had to sneak in through the window and change before his mom saw his state.
“Just another day..” Izuku said to himself, as he stepped out of the shower, desperately trying to ignore the marks on his thighs from when his heart had hurt too much and he had found a way to let out the pain
He took a deep breath, wrapping the towel around his waist and walking out of the bathroom heading to his room. The sound of his footsteps on the cranky wood floor being the only sound in the quiet dim house.
He put on his uniform, the material scratching his skin. Like the memories from school flooded his mind and refused to get out whenever he put it on.
He closed his eyes, drowning out the loud air conditioner, the overly clean smell of the house, the ringing noise that kept getting louder, the buzzing sound of the lights from his room.
Breath.
“Just… another day.” Izuku said to himself, as he put on his signature smile, and headed out of the house. Looking back once, being greeted by silence, but still having the feeling of being watched.
—————
Walking to school was always like waiting to go to your death. Izuku knew once he reached school that all the pain and thoughts he had, all the worrying would just get worse.
*dunk*
Someone hit Izuku’s head, almost making him loose his footing and fall over before he caught himself.
“What are you thinking about deku? There’s no use in you thinking about nothing when you know you’ll never amount to anything!” A random bully said, Izuku didn’t even know his name, isn’t that funny? That people he didn’t even know knew how useless he was.
Izuku’s steps got slower. Heavier, as he thought to himself “why am I even doing this?” Why go through this same cycle everyday of suffering over and over again! I should do something about this-
———
It was a stupid thought, he should know not to get his hopes up, shouldn’t think of a life better than this because this is all he’ll ever have.
School went by, as Izuku sat there, then was shook out of his thoughts by the bell ringing and the teacher talking about him and classmates futures. Why should he care? It’s not like he’ll ever amount to anything but being a worthless deku.
———
Oh.. it’s raining- wait it’s raining— Izuku thought to himself as he ran into the nearest place because he didn’t want to get his only good uniform left ruined.
As he let out a relieved sigh, because he had not gotten wet, a voice spoke.
