SNOWY PEAKS ZONE
2D ANIMATED. SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAIN - DAY
The sky is crystal clear on the peaceful mountains, where snow-tipped trees and cabins are starting to rustle in the icy breeze. Until the rustle becomes a howl, and finally Sonic streaks past, even bluer than the sky and just as good at listening.
The snowstorm Sonic kicks up covers Amy Rose, and she huffs as she throws the flurry off. She is wearing a fluffy fur dress and big boots, carrying her board.
AMY ROSE
Sonic! Hey, Sonic! C'mon, I just wanna talk!
SPZ ACT 1. SLOPES - DAY
AMY ROSE: Catch up with Sonic! Use your Snowboard and the Chairlifts if you must!
POST-SPZ ACT 1. SLOPES - DAY
AMY ROSE
Hey - Sonic! I've - got - Urf!
Amy flops into the snow as she sees Sonic launch off the ground, picked up by Knuckles and soaring off.
AMY ROSE
Oh for the love of Sonic, I can't chase after Knuckles now! I'm beat already, and he can fly!
I'll find him. I always do. But what's his problem?
Amy scowls into the snow, then jumps at a rustling in the undergrowth.
AMY ROSE
Any critters in there? If you're a yeti, can you give me a minute before you jump me!
From the snow, Metal Sonic leaps, his claws glistening.
AMY ROSE
Eep! I think a Yeti would be more reasonable!
SPZ ACT 2. SLOPES - DAY
METAL SONIC: Target acquired: 'Amy Rose'. Directive: Keep her in your sights, she will lead you to Organic Sonic.
POST-SPZ ACT 2. SLOPES - DAY
AMY ROSE
Oof! Timeout! This isn't working for me!
Metal Sonic glowers at her, then braces as she raises her hammer.
AMY ROSE
You can whizz off!
SPZ ACT 3. SLOPES - DAY
AMY ROSE: Metal Sonic just won't quit! Show him the hammer!
METAL SONIC: Target 'Amy Rose' showing signs of aggression. Neutralise.
STILLS AND PAINTED - SPZ END
Metal tries to kick Amy one last time, but she dodges at the last second, and pounds his head into the ground with her hammer.
AMY ROSE
Whoop!
Metal fizzes in the ground limply.
AMY ROSE
... ps. Whoo-ps.
She gently picks him up and brushes the snow off him.
AMY ROSE
That'll teach you to chase a lady when she's clearly had enough!
Metal Sonic flickers and clicks, rebooting. Suddenly, a blaring siren comes from his ears.
DOCTOR EGGMAN, VIA METAL SONIC
Metal Sonic! What are you doing? You went offline, and now your visual and location devices are all malfunctioning!
Metal Sonic beeps frantically, patting his head
AMY ROSE
Oh no! Metal, how many fingers am I holding up?
Amy waves two fingers in front of him, and he raises two himself.
DOCTOR EGGMAN, VIA METAL SONIC
Since when do you have a voicebox? It sounds ridiculous, like a little girl. If you've lost Sonic's trail, get back here for repairs!
AMY ROSE (Clearing her throat, speaking lower)
How do I do that? My location services are down?
DOCTOR EGGMAN, VIA METAL SONIC
How dare you sass me! Just for that, you're on your own!
The line crackles out.
AMY ROSE
Oops, that might have not been worth it... I'm sorry Metal.
Metal Sonic glares at her, fist shaking.
AMY ROSE
Hey, I'll help you find home, since it is my fault you're broken! Temporary truce?
Amy puts her pinkie out to him, and places his pinkie in hers as she squeezes. Metal squeezes back, and cracks her knuckle. She grimaces.
