Chapter Text

chapter 1

you wake up in the orphanage because the Caregiver was screaming at you to get dressed and clean. You were confused at first, but then remembered, you’re not at home, you’re at the orphanage, your parents are dead, and someone is getting adopted today.

“NOW GET THE HELL UP AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES, THEYLL BE HERE ANY SECOND!!” the Caregiver demanded.

you get up and get your clothes ready

“sorry miss, i must of slept in…”

she just stares with an irritated look

“damn right, you better hurry mister!”

she leaves the room and slams the door. you hear her start yelling at the other kids to clean this and that.

“GET DOWN HERE Y/N OR YOU WONT HAVE DINNER TONIGHT,” the Caregiver screamed

you struggle get your shirt on quickly, but you eventually manage and rush downstairs.

*thump thump thump*

“now, sit down! they’ll be here soon!” the Caregiver points to the bench next to the entry door

“hey, i heard there’s 5 of them… odd, huh?” Jackie whispered to you

they knock at the door

the Caregiver opens the door “Welcome to the Earl King’s Orphanage! We are so glad to have you here!” she says and proceeds to tell them everyone’s names.

“And last but not least, we have y/n!”

you look up at them

“we’d like sometime to get to know everyone, is that alright with you miss?” the one wearing the yellow tie asks the Caregiver

“Absolutely! Evi, you’re up first!”

~time skip~

“Alright, y/n, it’s finally your turn!”

you stand up and the dude wearing the red tie smiles and waves for you to come over, so you do so

“hey! i’m Joe!” the red tie dude tells you

“and i’m rob!” says the person wearing the yellow tie

“zubin here!” the blue tie exclaims

“hi i’m Andrew” the person wearing the green tie says

“and i’m Ross!” the grey tie tells you

you smile, “im y/n!”

“so, what stuff do you like?” Rob asks you

“i like music, but i haven’t heard any im too fond of yet… oh! i also like drawing!” you exclaim

they all look at each other with a smirk on their faces and you turn your head in confusion and a tiny bit of hopefulness

“thanks for talking to us!” Joe exclaims while the rest of them follow him out of the room

~time skip~

you’re chewing on your nails as you’re sitting on the end of the bench. you don’t know if you want to get adopted by them, even if you had a chance of someone wanting to, but you know you want to get out of this hellhole.

“mhm… okay! Are we all sure we want that one?” Zubin asks the other four

you hear lots of noises that indicate yes

“beautiful! okay… y/n?”

your heart starts to beat really fast out of excitement and nervousness.

“Yes miss?” you ask the Caregiver

“It’s your lucky day!” she says through slightly gritted teeth

you jump up off the bench

“well, come on!” Ross grins

you beamed, rushing over to your 5 new parents

they all exit the door, waving for you to follow, so you do

“climb on in!” Andrew says, mentioning to the car

“Okay!” you chirp as you climb in the back seat

you put your seatbelt on and whisper-squeal out of excitement

“Hm?” rob asks

“I’m just super excited, sorry” you reply

“Oh don’t worry!”

you wait for everyone else to climb in.

“Welcome to Tally Hall!” they all exclaim

as the happy realisation of finally being adopted hits you can feel tears drip down from your face

“…oh god, are you okay?” Rob asks you

you try to hide your tears, but it’s no use and you cry harder while Rob hugs you

“shhh shh it’s okay” he assures as you cry into his shoulder

“i-i’m sorry…” you manage to get out through choked up tears

“hey hey,” Rob breaks the hug and looks you in the eyes, “it’s okay, don’t apologise.”

Joe puts on two trucks by lemon demon and everyone including you bursts out in laughter

[POV of Evi]

“Ms Kate, with all due respect, what the fuck,” I ask the Caregiver

“Oh shush, you’ll get chosen soon enough” she replies

“hmph” i groan

Jackie walks into the room

“JACKIE I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU DONT GET TO THE KIDS RESTING ROOM ILL-“

“sorry Ms Kate, i was just coming back from the bathroom” she apologised

i smirk at her and she gives me an eye roll and leaves the room

the laughter ceases when you all hear someone scream from down the block

“what the hell was that?!” joe yelled

the screaming continues as y’all rush out the car and run over to the house down the street

zubin grabs his minecraft sword out of his bag and leads in front

“where the hell did you get that from?” andrew asks

“no time for questions… RAHHHHHHH” zubin runs to the door of the house and breaks it down

as you look behind your back you see the Caregiver calling the police

“YALL ITS FINE THE CAREGIVER IS CALLIN THE POLICE” you scream to your newfound family

“RAHHHHHH” they all yell as they rush into the house

you sigh and rush after them

“wait up!” you exclaim

when you get in the house you automatically step on a dead body right when you walk in

“fuuuuck now there’s blood on my shooooe” you complain, not giving one shit that someone is literally dead

you open a door that has rusty hinges, and promptly run into rob

you both fall down

“oof” you both say, then profusely apologise to each other

you both get up and look around a little

“hey, where’s the exit again??” rob asks you

“oh it should be right over here” you say as you turn the corner

and you promptly walk into a wall

“ow……………………”

“oh shit you good??” rob asks

“…yeah” you reply

as you walk a little more around the house, you eventually decide that it’s an endless non-euclidean “house”

you see a shadowy figure in the dark hallway in front of you but it’s just zubin.

“ZUBINNNNNNNNN” rob runs towards him and glompz xP’s him

“is that ross behind you????” zubin asks rob

“naur ross is just a drummer!1!1!1!!!1!!1!1!1!1!!” you yell to him

apparently there was an even darker hallway behind zubin

joe tries to scare zubin and is successful

“AUGHHHHHHHHH” zubin yells after joe scares him

“teehee i got you :3”

chapter 6

“okay guys we still need to find ross and andrew before we get the fuck out of here” joe announces

“BET!!1!1!2!!1!2?!1!1?2!12!” everyone else yells and runs in completely different directions

joe facepalms.

“soooooooo” you say while running around with zubin

“WHAR” he yells

“wjwksmekidjdjeieisn” you keysmash in real life

“JSOWNDIWIDMIEWJDJDK” zubin does a louder real life keysmash

“TJIS IS WAR!!!!!!!” you declare

you and zubin stand there saying nonsense for a full 32 minutes and 12 seconds until ross runs into you both

“gET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE THERES A FUCKINF SKIN STEALER” ross demands

you three sprint around and find andrew just chillin on his phone

“THERE YOU ARE” zubin jumps in the air in victory

“huh” andrew says, looking up from his phone

rob and joe come over running from the left

“LETS GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE NOW” they both say in union

chapter 7

the 6 of you run around what seems like the backrooms for like 7 minutes

you stop abruptly in front of a mouse door.

joe runs into you

zubin runs into joe

rob runs into zubin

ross runs into rob

andrew runs into ross

it’s a fucking domino chain

“oof… sorry y/n..” joe sheepishly apologized

“your good” you reply

“erm ackshully it’s ‘you’re’” andrew corrects

“ouy’reer” zubin :3’s

everyone bursts out laughing except for joe

“CAN WE FIND A WAY OUT ALREADY!!2?!2?1!2?1!?2?1!1?2” joe yells with a weird amount of ones and twos

you all make noises that vaguely sound like a ‘yeah’
