A Trip to Remember

Summary:

Phayu introduces Rain to one of his family tradition - summer camping trip

Notes:

SolarisWrites asked for summer road trip or getaway for our boys. They also mentioned what kinks they don't want. I hope I did their prompt justice with this small slice of life story.

Also, big help to my angel, chaeul, who checked this work for mistakes and the flow. Thank you so much for your help, darling <33

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

It’s the summer, and for Phayu it is a special time of the year. It reminds him of his childhood, when his parents took him and his brother on a camping trip every summer. Saifah and he have always loved those trips, and they have been so much fun. Now he wants to experience it with his beloved Rain.

His parents called and he said he would talk to Rain and let them know if they are going too. Saifah and Oatkheam have confirmed that they are coming. He wants to go, but not to pressure his darling.

He is sitting in the living room when his sweet boy comes in. “Hello, sweet boy.” he says with a bright grin.

“P’Phayu!” Rain gives a smile back. “I thought you didn’t see me.”

“I always see my sweet wifey.” he smirks.

His dear boy blushes. He loves making his darling blush. The reactions Rain gives to his teasing are so wonderful, whether he gets teased back, or he just gets a flushed silence and knowledge that he will get teased later. And he has no idea which one he prefers.

“Anyway, Rain?”

“Yes, Phi?”

“My parents called and asked if we would join the camping trip.”

Rain looks at him confused. “A camping trip, Phi?”

Phayu remembers that he has never mentioned it to Rain before. He can just do it now. It’s not a very big deal. “Yes, a camping trip. My family tradition, where every summer we go camping together. Sai and I used to do it every summer as kids, and it stuck.”

“Oh, really? That sounds so fun, Phi. I would love to go.”

Rain is almost bouncing with excitement, and he smiles. His cute boy, so happy about being included in the family traditions.

“I’ll let my parents know.” he says.

“When will we go?”

“This weekend. You should pack, sweet boy.”

“Yes, Phi.” Rain nods. “I’ll do it tomorrow, when I get home.”

Tomorrow comes so fast and both he and his darling spent it packing. They are getting ready to go on a camping trip that weekend.

It’s already Thursday, and in just two days they will be going. Phayu told his mom when she called that Rain agreed and that they will go too. So, this year it’s three couples. He is so happy to finally be able to introduce his sweet boy to the family tradition, one that he loves so much.

Rest of the day before the trip, he and Rain spent together, and mostly cuddled. Phayu loves those sweet, domestic moments, they fill his heart with warmth.

It’s early Saturday and he and Rain are already in his range rover, driving to the meeting spot. His darling slept over the night before.

When they finally get there, his parents, Saifah and Oat are already waiting.

“Hello, Phayu, Rain!” his mother greets them.

“Hello, mom.” he answers.

The whole group then starts going to the place his parents chose as a good camping spot. It’s not far from Bangkok, just a two hour long drive to get there.

“Phi, do you want me to drive?” Rain offers.

He thinks about it for a bit before nodding. “Are you sure, sweet boy?”

“Yes, Phi.” he tells him.

“Alright, darling. You can drive.” Phayu smiles.

They sit in his car and Rain drives them. It's a pleasant feeling, letting himself relax and being able to lean on his love.

Soon, they arrive at the camping spot and Rain parks the car. They get out and he takes both of their bags and sleeping bags so they can go to meet with his parents.

The weather is nice, he checked the reports. He sets the tent and puts the sleeping bags and his and Rain’s bags inside the tent.

Outside, there are already two more tents set up and he smiles. This brings so many memories to him. He loved these trips so much as a kid, and he is so happy to be able to share it with his sweet boy.

“Phayu, come help me with grilling for dinner.” his dad calls him.

He comes, and just like that the three of them are on the barbeque duty and he looks over as his mom got Oat and Rain to do something else. He is so happy, this is so domestic. And he is glad his mom has some help too.

As the other three set the table and drinks, the food is done and they all sit down to eat. The meal is filled with laughter, teasing, and his and Saifah’s childhood stories which made both Oat and Rain giggle.

The rest of the day somehow includes him playing the guitar his parents brought along. He tries to get out of playing, but Rain’s pout and those pleading puppy eyes won over his wish not to play. So he takes the guitar and starts singing the very same song he sang when he first admitted his feelings for Rain.

When the first notes of the song start, when he sings the first words, he sees how his darling’s face lights up. That beaming smile is one of his favorite looks on Rain, and he loves every single one of his sweet boy’s reactions.

The song is over soon and he gives his brother the guitar. Phayu pulls Rain to sit in his lap and it makes the rest of the family laugh.

“You two are really adorable.” his mom coos. He shakes his head fondly.

“Thank you, auntie.” Rain says gently.

“Oh, dear, call me mom. There’s no need for the auntie." His mom is obviously aware of his plans to marry Rain. And she knows him too well.

“Alright, mom.” his darling blushes.

They sit there and talk for hours, and before anyone expects, it gets late.

“Alright, kids. Me and your mom are going to sleep. Don’t stay up too late. We are going home tomorrow.” his dad says.

After his parents leave, he and his brother start teasing each other.

“Sai, I’m tired.” Oat says. “Let’s go and sleep.”

Phayu knows she is obviously not tired, but can’t blame her for wanting some time alone with Saifah.

“Phi, do you want to go to our tent now?” Rain asks him.

“We can go now, sweet boy.”

With that, they go to their tent, and Rain kisses him passionately and hungrily. He smirks, but deepens the kiss. It doesn’t stay on the kissing only, as his sweet boy is just as horny as he is.

Finally, he and Rain are lying on the sleeping bag, with his darling’s head on his chest. He hugs Rain close, the boy already falling asleep. He doesn’t blame him, they woke up so early. Tomorrow they are going home, but he should get some sleep too. It will be another early morning for them both.

Phayu lets sleep take over as he smiles and thinks about how lucky he is.
