As Bruce finds himself cornered by Dick and Jason in their nerf gun battle, Jason takes the lead and taunts him with a smirk. "Any last words, old man?" he says, his tone dripping with mischievousness.
With a resigned sigh, Bruce raises his hands in surrender. "Tell Clark I love him," he says, his voice tinged with humor, "And he better not remarry!"
Before the words can fully escape his lips, a sudden storm of nerf bullets rain down upon Bruce. Dick and Jason relentlessly pelt him, their laughter echoing through the room. Bruce, always one for dramatics, falls over the couch, clutching his chest in mock agony.
Amidst the chaos, Clark unexpectedly pops out of the kitchen, a fond smile gracing his face. "I'd never," he says, his voice filled with warmth and reassurance.
As the nerf gun war continues, Bruce's heart swells with affection for Clark. Despite the sarcastic banter and theatrical displays, this moment reaffirms just how far they’ve come from enemies to friends to now lovers. The laughter and joy that fill the room serve as a reminder to Bruce of the incredible makeshift family they have created together.
