Summary
Years ago, Keigo was sent on a mission to infiltrate the League of Villains. Somehow, during the year he spent there, he fell in love and started a relationship with Touya. But being stuck in the abusive cycle of the Hero Commission, he chose to lisen to his orders to turn Touya in. Their relationship was cut short so abruptly that Keigo never truly got over that heartbreak.
Set in the present day, Keigo is once again put on an infiltration mission to gather information on a new gang said to be trying to fill the League's boots. When there, he unexpectedly reunites with Touya.
GHIHB tackles challenges of grief, trauma and abusive relationships. Touya is set on trying to get Keigo out of this abusive relationship he has with the Commission, showing him the life of a villain and how being a hero is hardly any different. Both sides are severely corrupted, but one is true and the other is fake.
This is a dead dove: do not eat, enemies to lovers story that goes back and forth with their own insane and abusive relationship. At no point are they ever a normal couple. But what is normal if not boring?
