One bright sunny day, Yellow Eyes - or known as Azzael to his enemies - was playing in the yard with his 3 kids. The kids were running around in the backyard, zooming back and forth with their yellow eyes gleaming in the sunlight. Yellow Eyes smiled proudly at them. Things have been so different since he came back from the dead in 2020. He was one of the lucky people who was brought back during that time Chuck was at his full power. Afterwards, he told everyone that he cleaned up his ways (aka stopped being a murderer) and was able to live a happy life with his wife Abaddon and their 3 kids. Of course he hasn’t really stopped murdering, and he may just be training his children to do the same exact thing. However, as the saying goes, he is a demon, so he lied.
Flashback: Spring 2007
Yellow Eyes was having a rough night in the graveyard. He had just opened the gates of Hell and was gathering an army. Things were looking up for him in the beginning until those irritating Winchester boys showed up. He really liked what the King of Hell, Crowley, called them - Moose and Squirrel - as they truly were those animals (of course no one other than Crowley can call them that unless they have a death wish). One of the boys, Dean (or Squirrel according to Crowley) thought he could be bold and shoot him with the Colt.
Silly Dean, Yellow Eyes thought there is no way that gun can actually kill me. I mean it can if you shoot it right but we all know you’re weak after I threw you into that gravestone. Besides you know you only survived that because you’re already a dead man anyway.
Yellow Eyes unfortunately just made a bad mistake getting lost in thought like that. Before he knew it, the same Winchester brother got in front of him and fired the gun, the bullet hitting his shoulder with much force. Yellow Eyes jolted, looked at it for a minute, then —

Yellow Eyes continued to stare lovingly at his 3 children running around the yard. He was really lucky to have such happy and healthy triplets. They were born just 2 years ago in 2021, and are the sunshines of his eyes. Right when he came back to life, he married his love, Abaddon, who was also brought back per his request. They then married immediately and decided to have kids so they can make some things more right in the world.
See Yellow Eyes had a plan. His old one when he tried cursing other people’s children with demon blood fell through. Those dumb Winchester boys always came in the end and ruined things. So instead of building his army with other children he decided what better way to have an army then to just make his own. He thought it would take years, but now that he had triplets he decided he was already well ahead of that plan. Yellow Eyes cackled softly... The end of the human world was in his grasp and the 3 yellow eyed children running around the garden were the key to it all.
Flashback: 4,004 BCE
One day, as the world was coming to a start Yellow Eyes was running around performing many temptations. He had just sat in a garden next to an apple tree for a little over a week waiting for the new humans to eat the glistening fruit. Finally with enough temptations he was able to get them to take a bite.
Haha, he thought. Now the humans will be cursed and sinned forever. This is the perfect beginning for my army, which may take 6,000 years but will eventually be formed and take over the world. Isn’t that funny, humans taking each other out? They truly are their own enemies.
On his way out of the garden, he stumbled across a fellow demon Abaddon. Yellow Eyes doesn’t believe in love at first sight. At the time he did not call it that but still did not believe in it all the same. However, it took one fleeting glance to fall in love with this demon. She was so beautiful, it almost made his yellow eyes catch on fire. Now demons can change vessels, but this didn’t matter as any vessel Abaddon chose was beautiful. After 4,000 years of pining (they did take quite long to admit their feelings, but not as long as some supernatural creatures) they finally got together - but never married - at the start of the new millennium when they were both resurrected.
2023
Yellow Eyes walked into the garden holding a plate of pineapple that Abaddon had cut up for the kids. One of the main rules that Yellow Eyes had in regard to his children is that they had to only consume yellow food. This made their demonic powers stronger and was also good for them. Unlike other demons, when they ate yellow food, it enhanced their powers and got them closer to taking over the world. It was just a small part of the training that Abaddon and Yellow Eyes were doing for their children. He expects that in just 10 more years, a very small amount in the grand scheme of things, he would have enough children and they would all be of age for his army.
He wasn’t going to let anything stop him this time. The Winchester brothers were out of the question now. He had heard that one of them died because he forgot his tetanus shot and fell on a rusty nail. Meanwhile the other one was so sad about this death that he retired from hunting and started his own family. Yellow Eyes smiled. He also knew that for the longest time there was an angel up the Winchester’s sleeve. But thankfully that would not be a problem anymore either. He actually met that angel in the Empty right before coming back to life. He had just arrived there and mentioned that he was sent to that place because he confessed his love to one of those Winchester brothers. How anyone could actually love those boys Yellow Eyes had no idea, but he was happy to have the angel out of the way all the same. It just made it easier than ever to take over the world, and this time do it right with his wife and children by his side.
Flashback: Spring 2014
Yellow Eyes has been asleep in the Empty for the last 7 years. It has been a somewhat soothing experience although he had to admit that he missed Abaddon. He knew that his dear partner was last seen in 1958, but was secretly hoping that she had died since then so they could cross paths. He missed her. He had not seen her since that night she mysteriously vanished, but all he knew was that she did not die.
However, in the spring of 2014, he suddenly woke from his slumber in the Empty. He was very confused at first. Why would someone randomly be woken from the Empty? That was a place to sleep forever, for better or worse. Yellow Eyes looked around and all of a sudden there was his beloved Abaddon. She had been standing there covered in blood, courtesy of Dean Winchester as he later found out. Although for once he wasn’t mad at those Winchester boys. While they may have ruined both of their lives, they also found a way to bring him back to his beloved, even if it was from beyond the grave. Yellow Eyes beamed with happiness and sprung forward to meet his precious Abaddon.
While they cradled each other they made two promises. The first was that they would get out of this black hole one way or another. The second, and most important promise, was that as soon as they got out they would marry and start a family. They had to finish what Yellow Eyes set out to do all those years ago. Build up an army, even if it was now with their own kids which they always knew might be a possibility, and take over the world.
