Work Text:

Night Raven College is on an end-of-term excursion, holidaying for a week on a Mediterranean island. Most of the students are gathered in the lounge playing Never Have I Ever. The game has been going for some time, so the statements are becoming increasingly outrageous and as usual, Leona and Lilia are often the only ones required to drink.

“Never have I ever”, begins Vil, with a deliberate look towards Leona, “slept with one of my teachers.”

Leona raises his glass in a mock toast with a nod to Vil and downs it with a lascivious smile. Vil scowls and groans and play passes to the next person. Leona glances at Lilia. “You didn’t drink.” Lilia looks away. “It wasn’t a criticism, just an observation. I don’t care if you play their silly little game truthfully or not.”

“I didn’t have to,” Lilia mumbles.

“Bull…shit! You’ve obviously been with him.”

“Shh! Not so loud! I’m not going to deny it. But it was all such a long time ago. And never was he my teacher; much the other way around!” A wistful look came over him.

“But you clearly still want him. I’ve seen the way you follow him with your eyes. And he clearly wants you: he can’t keep his eyes off you when you’re in class and he teaches most of our lessons with a semi if you’re there.”

“Don’t be ridiculous! It was a lifetime ago for him.”

“Believe me or not, no issue to me. I don’t care who you fuck. Just saying. But are you telling me you’ve never since you’ve been here?”

“I tried once, not long after we started here. But Malleus likes to walk the grounds at night. He sensed that I was out and came to find me.”

“Were you…?”

“No, I was on my way. Flying. I’ve never tried since.” He downs his drink and calls for another. “She understands, or at least tolerates it. What’s a fleeting human dalliance to someone that old? But Malleus – he would be jealous of her honour…and that makes him dangerous; death by dragon is not pleasant.”

Leona is quiet for a while then makes a musing sound.

“What?”

“Well, part of the excuse we give for me being with Divus is that I’m helping him with his research (which I am), but maybe you could do something similar – tell Malleus you’re helping Mozus update his class notes. Gods know they need it! You could even actually do it, so you don’t have to lie to your precious prince.”

At about this point, the game starts to break up. Various groups of boys get ready for their chosen nighttime activities. Leona and Lilia get up, nod to each other, and depart in opposite directions. Lilia stops by the bar, where he remains for a while engaged in deep conversation with the sommelier until he departs with a bottle of something very old and very expensive in his hand.

**********

Mozus was settled in a comfortable armchair with a book and his second glass of port when he received a knock at his door. Pulling his silk robe closed over his eastern-style pyjama suit, he walked over and opened the door.

“Lilia! Is everything ok? Has something happened in Diasomnia?”

“No, Mozus. Everything is ok” A quizzical eyebrow was raised at the lack of protocol. “I – I came to see you, if I may. I brought this; one of your favourites, if I remember correctly?”

Mozus looked at the bottle and smiled. Then surreptitiously peered along the corridor in both directions. “Of course! Do come in. Although I don’t think it is altogether proper for me to be seen entertaining a student in my quarters after hours.”

Lilia stepped into the room. “Any more or less proper to have a student loitering outside your room with a bottle of wine, I wonder?” He moved to the couch and uncorked the bottle. “Will you drink with me, Mozus? For old time’s sake?”

Mozus nodded and accepted the proffered glass. The wine was good – old, rich, expensive; a lot like him he thought, and smiled.

“That’s better” Lilia commented. “I always love it when you smile.’

They sat together and talked in a desultory way about relatively mundane things – the weather, the boys, school – anything that was not too personal. After a while they lapsed into an awkward silence.

“Lilia? Why are you here?”

“I told you. I’d like to know if we can…reconnect.”

“But why now? You’ve been here for two and a half years. Why suddenly now?”

“I did try, Mozus. Shortly after we first got here, but Malleus intercepted me and…”

“So what’s changed?”

“I think I’ve found a way for it to work; for us… to…” Lilia’s voice trailed off as he saw the expression on Mozus’ face. “What?”

“I have ached for you every day for the past two and a half years! You were my world, my very existence, and I had to let you go. All my love, all my charm, couldn’t keep you. And then I watched the only other person that I have ever loved die in my arms. All my power, all my abilities, couldn’t save her. I can’t let you break my heart again, Lilia! There’ll be nothing left of me!”

Tears were now flowing freely. Lilia leant in to wipe them away. Mozus flinched, very slightly, but Lilia recoiled as if he’d been burnt. He got up. “I never meant to hurt you then, Mozus”, he said softly, “and I didn’t mean to hurt you now. This was a bloody stupid idea.” He walked to the door and reached for the handle. “I…think I’d better go.”

“Please don’t.’ It was barely a whisper.

“Are you sure?”

He nodded. “Sit with me?”

The awkward silence gradually morphed into companiable and Mozus rested his head on Lilia’s shoulder. Lilia put his arm around him. He was no longer the short, 18-year old schoolboy: he was taller, bigger, older and as they drank the last of the wine, he conjured soft music; a waltz. He stood up and held out his hand. “Do you dance, monsieur?”

Mozus giggled. It was the opening gambit of Lilia’s initial seduction 40 years ago. He played along: “I can, but not well.”

“I don’t believe that for a moment”. Lilia pulled him to his feet and clasped him in a waltz-hold as they danced around the room. Slowly the music changed; a slow dance started, rhythmic and sensual. Mozus slipped his hands under Lilia’s arms and up his back to rest on his shoulders, pulling them close, chest to chest. Lilia’s hands slid down over Mozus’ waist and hips and came to rest on his arse, pulling them so close that they could feel each other’s erection.

Mozus moaned softly. “Take me to bed.”

Neither was sure if it was a request, a plea or a demand. But Lilia nodded.

“May I disrobe you?”

This time it was Mozus’ turn to nod.

Lilia untied the cord holding the silk robe closed and eased it off over Mozus’ shoulders before carefully placing in on the couch. Then he unhooked the embroidered toggles on the eastern-inspired lounge shirt. He slid his hands up Mozus’ chest, lingering for a while to play with his nipples which hardened under his touch. Then he slowly slid the top off and placed it also on the couch. Turning back to face Mozus, he knelt down and undid the lounge pants and eased them over his arse then ran his hands inside the waist band to release his bulging cock.

“Gods! You smell good!” Mozus blushed as he stepped out of the pants, which Lilia carefully added to the pile of discarded clothes on the couch.

With his hands massaging his arse, Lilia pulled Mozus closer. He licked his balls, slowly, and then up the length of his shaft and around his foreskin before teasing his slit. “You taste even better than you smell.” Mozus blushed a deeper red: sex talk with Lilia always made him feel virginal. Lilia smiled, scooped him up in his arms, and deposited him on the bed.

**********

It was a long session of re-exploration and rediscovery. Eventually they fell asleep, more contented than either had been for some time.

Not unexpectedly, it was Lilia who woke first, attuned as he was to the cycles of night and day. He checked the time and decided that he had no pressing need to be anywhere else. He got up and relieved himself, then crawled back into bed, settling himself behind Mozus; he adjusted his cock to a more comfortable position between Mozus’ arse cheeks and then wrapped his free arm over Mozus’ hip, his hand resting on Mozus’ cock. His sleeping companion moaned softly at his touch, so he started stroking gently.

As Mozus came to wakefulness he grew harder in Lilia’s hand and started to wriggle his arse against Lilia’s own hard-on. “Like this?” Lilia whispered as started to lick and kiss Mozus’ neck. He moaned and nodded. Lilia pushed in, waited for Mozus to catch his breath, pushed farther and found his rhythm. “Are you ok?” OK? He was lying in bed in a luxury hotel being fucked by the only man he’d ever loved: he was so far beyond ok!

Then suddenly everything happened at once: Lilia’s teeth pierced his neck, creating an orgasmic mixture of pleasure and pain as he came, spilling over Lilia’s hand while Lilia unloaded into him, pulse after climactic pulse.

They lay together, panting in the afterglow.

“Don’t you have to leave? Not that I want you to, but don’t’ you need to attend to the boys?”

“Not yet. Malleus knows where I am and won’t come looking. And Silver and Sebek know to go to breakfast when they’re ready – they don’t need me there! So I’m all yours, at least for a bit longer.”

“Mmm. Wonderful! Wait! What? Malleus knows?”

“No, well, sort of. He knows I’m here, not what we’re doing. I told him I was going to help you to update the text books.”

“And he believed you? And you’re comfortable lying to your prince?”

“Well, he is of the opinion that they need updating…and it wouldn’t be lying if we actually did discuss something related to class.”

Mozus laughed. “Join me for a room service breakfast meeting?” Lilia smiled and nodded. “Sounds perfect.”
