Summary
Regulus has loved Evan for years, but in his sixth one, he thinks he's mastered it- 'it' being the art of pretending he is literally anything but in love. Then, Evan gets on the train, younger brother in tow, and reminds Regulus that even though he thinks there's nothing else he could love about him, he's not always right.

Summary
In 1979 Regulus Arcturus Black dies in an attempt to help defeat the Dark Lord. In 1980, Regulus Cygnus Malfoy is born alongside his twin brother Draco. Named after his would-be godfather, Regulus seems normal at first. That is, until he starts remembering a life that was both his own, and someone else’s.
Remus has lost everything after the war, and Harry is sent to live with the Dursleys. But, Remus refuses to let his nephew in all but blood grow up alone, even if he has to keep it secret from Dumbledore.
Harry grows up knowing he is loved, and Regulus gets a second go at things, and maybe that’s the chance that the wizarding world needed.

Summary
Following his discovery and destruction of the Dark Lord's Horcrux, Regulus made sure he ended up in Azkaban. His daemon fled, able to travel great distances from him due to his near death in retrieving the locket. Years have passed and Voldemort has returned. Regulus must escape Azkaban to finish what he started and somehow, reunite with his absent self.

Summary
Okay, strictly speaking, Regulus's plan was to destroy the Horcrux without drinking any of the potion. But he'd planned out a meticulous counter-ritual, aided by an incredibly disrespectful rummaging through Father's study immediately after the funeral, that would extract the soul piece from the container and extinguish it, leaving the container intact as a sort of... well, a trophy. Something to wave in the Dark Lord's face at the inevitable moment of reveal.
He'd assumed Horcruxes were impervious to Fiendfyre, because really, it's a basic destructive force. What's the point of going through with the ritual to create one if it can be destroyed by an over-eager eight-year-old?
However, it seems that Horcruxes are not, in fact, impervious to Fiendfyre, and Regulus may have just destroyed the soul piece, as well as the container with it.
