Summary:

(title - Christmas Kids, by: Roar)

Chapter 1: the original idea of this fic

Chapter Text

The last few kids left the daycare, and Monty gave a sigh of relief. He didn’t know how the daycare attendant handled this every day. He was about to leave when a hand gripped his forearm. He turned to see Sun. His posture had changed, however. Where it had been open and friendly before, now he was tense and radiating anger.

“Oh, you don’t get to leave just yet. We have some words for you.” Monty thought back on the party he’d been asked to attend, and couldn’t see anything wrong with how he’d acted.

“What’s wrong?”

– - –

Sun wanted to be able to take a deep breath, and he cursed his lack of lungs.

“Hm. I suppose that was a bit vague. You did nothing wrong at the party. And that’s the last nice thing I have to say about you.”

“Huh?”

“Let me be clearer. Do you know what you did to Moon and I?” Sun’s tone was dangerously calm.

“No…?”

“Really. Nothing comes to mind.”

“No.”

“You know what, I can’t deal with this.” A relieved look passed across the other animatronics face, a look that changed to confusion, then nerves, as Sun walked over to the light switch and flicked it, letting Moon take control.

Moon turned around, knowing how they looked in that moment. Eyes glowing as they pulled themself up to their full height.

“Well, if you’re so confused, then let me explain. I know you’re the one who reported us for being out of the daycare.”

“Oh, that.”

“Yes, that.” Moon responded mockingly. “Well, you clearly seem to have no regard for the consequences of your actions, so let me explain, in chronological order. First. We were taken into parts and services, and they attempted to completely reboot us. To erase everything that made us, us.” it was clear that if Monty could pale, he would’ve. “Thankfully, between some clever tricks and quite a lot of lying and acting, we managed to escape that fate. Now, if it was that alone, we would already be…angry. But that’s not all. Second. Sun can no longer leave the daycare under any circumstances, and I can only leave for explicitly security-related reasons. Nothing else. My new programming ensures it. And third, the one that truly made me so livid with anger I wanted to kill someone, Sun. My wonderful Sun, my favorite person in this whole world. If he ever tries to leave the daycare, or switch with me outside the daycare, he will be in an immense amount of pain, enough to completely incapacitate him. The only thing close to a silver lining is that the lights don’t make us switch outside of the daycare. And the real kicker is that I could almost understand if you glamrocks followed the rules to a T. If you decided on the mentality of ‘if I can’t, then no one can’. But no. You glamrocks constantly disregard the rules in order to have fun together. Now do you recognize the consequences of your actions?” Monty nodded, giving the impression that he wanted to be sick. “Good. I think that’s all. Get out of our daycare. If we had the choice, we’d never see you again, though I’m sure a kid will request you again at some point.” Monty fled.

Notes:

i swear so much irl, it was really weird having to give sun and moon a kid-friendly vocabulary lol

also as much as i love sun and moon (my blorbos <3) writing them is so annoying for the sole reason that i forgot i could give them a more expressive face as the author, meaning i had/have to deal with not being able to write their expressions BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY, FUCK THE GAME CREATORS FOR DOING THIS TO ME /lh
