It’s been 365 days without you, Jimmy.
I’ve been doing not so well after your disappearance. Even though it was after our date and we— I didn’t know that you would disappear… maybe you’ve had it planned. Maybe you didn’t tell me because you thought I’d beg for you to stay… but that would be true. Never in a million years have I ever thought of having a future without you, my Canary.
I walked past a shop. A shop with nice clothes. I would’ve bought them for you, but you’re not here..
I made your favourite dessert, but I’m eating it alone. How I have been doing for the past year.
I saw a jewellery shop with a ring which would be perfect for a proposal. Unfortunately I cannot propose to you as you’re missing.
I’ve been getting endless dreams of you. Of your smile, your laugh, your eyes… you.
I miss your dumb questions.. I miss you asking for me to preen your wings for you.
Whenever I look up at the sunrises and sunsets all I can think of is how you’d wake up early, or how you’d stay up till the sun sets. And you have always brought me along because you knew I’d like to see them too.
The sun reminds me of you too. Everything reminds me of you Jimmy. Everything we did will remind me of you.
