“Skizz,” Tango said, wringing his hands, twisting his claws around and around each other. “What if he sees it and thinks I’m ugly? Or what if he doesn’t and forgets I exist? But also, what if I get laughed off of Twitter? People are going to quote-tweet me with laughing gifs.”
Skizz sighed. “Top, buddy, we’ve been over this. You are a handsome blaze and anyone would be lucky to see your selfies.”
Tango sighed again. “I guess. It’s still three days away. Plenty of time for me to think deeply about it and then back out again.”
“That’s the spirit!” Zedaph chimed in from the floor.
Or, Tango has a fan account for the famous pop star Canary. After getting several notices from Canary himself, they start to have a deeper relationship than just fan and idol.

Summary
Tango is a workaholic. Jimmy is a hopeless romantic. They’re friendly enough, but not trapped-in-a-magical-Hallmark-movie-together friendly.
Yet here they are, stuck in a picture-perfect town where every holiday cliché is shoved in their faces. Maybe the only way out is to lean into it—decorate a bit, bake some cookies, skate on some ice.
As long as they’re not part of the clichés themselves… right?
It’s a Hallmark movie. What could possibly go wrong? 🎄
