Work Text:
Jang Shin-yu couldn't stop looking at that scene. A familiar feeling growing in his being, it was an anger he couldn't explain, a feeling he only got when he saw his girlfriend talking to Kwon Jae-kyung.
That man was apathetic, he didn't smile at anyone but he had the audacity to continue laughing and telling Hong-jo not very funny jokes. And Hong-jo, well, she laughs and smiles at everyone, it's natural for her and it was one of the things that made Shin-yu fall head over heels in love with her. But he couldn't help but feel jealous when he saw her laughing with Kwon.
Taking a deep breath, Shin-yu approaches the duo talking. Coming up behind his girlfriend and lightly touching her shoulder, drawing attention to himself.
"Hello my dear." - Shin-yu says smiling slightly at his girl, but soon turns his serious face to face Jae-gyeong. - Mr. Kwon.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Jang Shin-yu. Have you had lunch?" - Jae-gyeong asks. The atmosphere became tense, Kwon's smile faded from his face when Shin-yu arrived at the scene.
"Not yet, I came to get this woman just to go do this." - Shin-yu replies, looking again at Hong-jo, who was looking at him smiling.
Hong-jo smiles at everyone, her beautiful smile, it's beautiful. But for Shin-yu, she has a different, unique smile, a smile that could brighten up a stormy day, but which happily only brightens Shin-yu's life.
He knew that her eyes sparkled that way just when she looked at him, that she smiled and acted uniquely just for him, it made him feel like the luckiest man in the world.
"Oh." - Jae-gyeong's voice interrupts the exchange of glances between the couple. "So, I'm leaving. Good lunch to you." - Kwon quickly leaves the place. Hong-jo turns to Shin-yu.
"So where are we going for lunch?" -She asks, still smiling.
"What were you talking about?" He doesn't answer, letting his jealousy speak louder. Hong-jo just rolls her eyes and walks in front of him, he follows close behind.
"No big deal, he was just telling me that they were thinking about opening a new dog shelter. You're very jealous, bleh"
"That was the side effect your spell left on me" Shin-yu says and Hong-jo rolls her eyes again
"Come on, the love spell wore off months ago, Jang Shin-yu. You are no longer a bewitched man." - Hong-jo says stopping abruptly to face her boyfriend.
"Oh no, I will always be a man under your spell. When you look at me with those little eyes, my heart almost stops beating so much, one day you're going to make me have a heart attack, you know?" Shin-yu says in a soft voice, looking at her as if Hong-jo were the most beautiful person in the world. He always do that.
And Hong-jo has the same reaction every time, she tries to be serious but it doesn't last long, and in a matter of seconds she smiles back at him and always blushes when he says those words.
Shin-yu laughs when he notices his girlfriend's cheeks flush. He loves it. He loves to see her blushing like this, he loves to see her smiling, to see her eating, watching, sleeping, Jang Shin-yu just adores her. He worships the ground she walks on, and that's one thing that will never change.
He walks over to try to give her a kiss, but Hong-jo quickly dodges it. Shin-yu frowns at his beloved's attitude.
"Not here. We are in front of city hall." Hong-jo points to the building behind him.
"Come on, you and I have done worse inside City Hall. A little kiss would be nothing." Jang Shin-yu says with his arrogant air.
Hong-jo, who already had rosy cheeks, is now red all over as she remembers the things her boyfriend did to her in his office.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." Hong-jo said, running towards the parking lot. Shin-yu could only laugh and go after his girlfriend.
"You don't even know where I parked the car." He says running after her.
