Everyone else was asleep. The dorm area was quiet, a noise Izuku had grown to hate over the months. He sat on the lounge sofa, his legs tucked into his stomach, and stared out the window, wating and watching for any trouble. Part of him wished for sleep, for his brain to have a break and reboot while the other side of his brain was telling him sleep wasn't something he deserved yet , not until all for one was truly gone. That was the side of his brain that was winning.
"Midoriya?" A soft voice called out. Izuku jumped in his seat and turned around, Black whip bubbling at the surface. He was bet with a familiar face , a comforting even. "Todoroki.." The green haired boy let out a sigh of relief, black whip retracting completely. Shouto smiled and leaned on the back of the sofa , head tilted to Izuku, "Why are you up so late?" He asked , his pinky ever so gentally grazing the bags under izukus eyes."You should get some sleep, " he suggested.
Iuzuku blinked his eyes and moved shoutos hand away from his face , "I can't," he said and looked back out at the large window. Shouto followed his gaze , nothing was there. "Have you tried to sleep since you got here? Other than the times you've passed out due to exhaustion, " the red and white-haired male asked , worried for his friends health. He couldn't believe izuku managed to face all those villans alone , without any help for so long , even at the cost of his owe health.
Izuku shook his head , "What of villains attack Ua? I've been in one place for too long, " he said , looking down at his hands and clenching them , "they're going to find me and hurt everyone here" his voice was low and full of guilt , as if he was the one who would hurt everyone. Shouto sat next to him, "That would be suicide for the villans. We have how many people heroes are based around here a day. How many students' heroes?" He pointed out , "we may not all be as strong as you, but we have all got a lot stronger. "
"I don't doubt you have for a second. You're all amazing...its just. Why start an unnecessary fight? You don't need me here, " Izuku sighed , his fingers instinctively tracing over his scars. Todoroki stared at Izuku, taking his hand , "okay but by that logic , I'm not needed here" he said, Izuku frowned and went to speak but Shouto kept talking , "we got into Ua because that's what we wanted to do, and we brought you back because we want you we don't always have to do what we do cause we need to, it can be a simple want" he said.
Izuku looked at his friend , mouth slightly agape, "but..."
Shouto cut him off, "no buts Midoriya , get some sleep" he said and pulled Izuku off the sofa, "if any villans come the security system will alarm us , hero's need sleep just as much as the next" he said and lead his friend to their drom rooms , hand in hand, "dosnt mattee if you have the strongest quirk in the world or no quirk at all, sleep"
"Okay..."
It was a very short walk to the sleeping areas, and during that time , Midoriya had got a strong attachment on Shoutos hand. "Midoriya?" He said, looking over at his friend. "I don't feel comfortable . . Sleeping in there... " he muttered, uncomfortable. And without a second of thought , "come sleep in my room then". It wasn't until Izukus pale cheeks went softly red did he realise what he said "uh- if you want to, my beds large enough for two but..."
Izuku nodded his head , "please"
