This is a story that's been rolling in my mind for five or six odd years, which I'd like to let go of at some point so I can work on other similarly interesting ideas. It expands on the universe in which this little worldbuilding piece is set in, but that isn't required reading, especially if you could never be caught dead holding a back issue of TIME Magazine.
Formatting is going to be a challenge as tricky as writing the story itself, but I'm through with waiting for it to happen.

The T rating is based on my own judgment and on how baffled I am that a lot of really violent stuff in comic books can still pass under the T radar, but they'll draw the line at swearing, of all things, when teens are the first to learn to exercise their right to a sailor mouth. There will be some references to homophobia, occasional violence and, well, death (it's a Nuzlocke), and occasional allusions to real-world goings-on. Please exercise discretion.

Other than that, hopefully you enjoy. Feedback and comments of any kind (constructive criticism, reactions, short comments, long comments, whatever) are always appreciated, but I'm terrible at replying to people promptly. If you would rather that I don't, that's OK as well, but let me know.
