Somewhere Else continued...

Summary:

Spoilers for MAG 200

Found footage audio from tape recorders that... Jon and Martin keep finding in their new setting in Somewhere Else. This takes place after my fic "Meanwhile... Somewhere Else" but can be an independent read. There's not much plot, but I think it's nice :)

Notes:

Don't read if you haven't listened to all five seasons of The Magnus Archives. And I mean all the way through episode 200. And I recommend checking out the episode titled "Oh... Hello." which is a nonofficial episode that's after episode 200.

Martin: Oh, hello.

Martin: Are you still listening?

Martin: Huh...

[tape rolling]

*several seconds pass*

Jon: Erm... hello? Is someone there? Martin?

Martin: *enters* Jon? What's going on?

Jon: I... is that a tape recor- is there a tape recorder in here?

Martin: Um...

[rustling]

Martin: I think... um- oh! Yes... there is a tape recorder.

Jon: Wha- why?

[pause]

Martin: Beats me.

[click]

 

[click]

[tape rolling]

Martin: What? No-

[tape rolling]

Jon: Again?

[pause]

[rustling. tape recorder falling]

Jon: Oh- *sighs* let me... 

[rustling. clack- tap]

Jon: Wh- this is a tape recorder. But we're... done- we were done with the Eye.

[pause]

Jon: It doesn't make sense... it can't be me...? Can it-

Martin: *enters* Are you talking to yourself?

Jon: No... it's another tape recorder.

Martin: *groans*

[shuffling]

Jon: No, Mar-
