Michael knew for a fact that there were no visitors.
Professor krane was preoccupied with research,jovi usually tended to go to her friends houses instead of them coming here,and his mom would never bring a guest over without telling him
Which gave him the question on why there was a green haired kid with a tiny purple blob in his arms and a gardevoir looking pokemon besides him giving Michael the death glare,greatly constrasting with the boy’s almost contagious smile.
The alone raised enough questions,but the real kicker was the fact that this guy was breaking in at three in the morning.
(Any question regarding Michael being up at three too will be met with an “I need coffee”)
Silence had rung between the two for about ten minutes as they both stared at each other.
“I-I am so sorry,”the boy started,slightly stepping back and putting his hands up in a I have nothing to hide kinda way”I-I’m so sorry,I didn’t m-mean to appear in your house at this hour,I j-just want to talk”
“Oh,uh,no worries”michael relaxed his face slightly “would you want a coffe?”
“Oh,no that won’t be necessary”the boy seemed slightly weirded out at how casual Michael was being.
(Half of it could be owed the the fact that his mother taught him to treat people with kindness,the other half was because he knew that most robbers wouldn’t be stupid enough to rob a local hero who was know for defeating the boss of a local evil team)
“Oh,uh”the boy walked up to Michael and held out his hand “I’m Wally Jinja,nice to meet you.”
“And I’m-“
“Michael Alton,I know”
Michael somewhat froze at the mention of his old last name,wally seemingly realizing that he might have said something rude.
“Uh,are you-“?
“Please address me as Michael Schmidt;it’s my mother’s name”Michael gave a slight smile,Wally taking a slight step back
“Oh,uh,you’re Michael Schmidt ,right?”wally looked somewhat guilty(Michael wanted to somewhat punch himself for that)
“Uh,yeah,that would be me”
“Uh..good”
The silence came back as both the boys only stood there with nothing to say.
“There’s a guest bedroom,you can sleep in there…?and then in the morning we can discuss about this,alright?”
“Alright”

That was a disaster
Those words were the only thing that rang in wally’s mind.
“It could've gone worse”the tiny partner sat on his lap,with its standard blank expression.
“But we literally teleported into his house at three in the morning and-“
“But he didn’t kick us out”dorimon responded
“I mean,yeah…but-“
“At least he didn’t kick us out”
“Yeah,”Wally sighed”at least he didn’t kick us out”
Dorimon seemed to sense the fact that Wally didn’t seem to be in his best mood.
“…is it because I can’t evolve?”
“Wh-what!?”wally paled
“Well,we have no digivice,no information,no alphamon,and probably not much time either”
Wally paused”…I…”
“I get your frustrated,but…remember,It’ll all be alright”dorimon said,a smile now dining his face
Wally walked towards the duffel bag besides the door and took a peak,steadily watching the egg inside it.
“Yeah,it’ll all be alright.”

The treasure hunt was a welcome break.
Well,not last year,that was for sure(the last thing Juliana expected was to visit a private funeral)
“What are we doin’ today,General?”commandramon(dubbed Mandy by Juliana and her mom) tugged on her shoulder.
“Sit on the couch waiting for mom to come back and try not to die from boredom”Juliana said blankly,standing still on the couch.
“That seems boring”Mandy said.
“Yeah,but she said to try not to leave”
“Well,”morphomon(nicknamed Mori)said“she said to try,not that we can’t”
Juliana’s eyes widened.
“Well,mission “stay in the house” is failed”she turned to her partners “mission “find something to entertained ourselves” is ON!”
Without warning the girl sprinted out the house and began running.
“NEMONA!”
She ran towards the opposing house,calling for her best friend,not minding to pay attention of anything she was stepping on.
Crunch!
“...huh?”
Julianna stopped on her tracks,looking confused at the object she had stepped on.
“General,what is it?”Mandy asked.
The object the had stepped on was a rectangular game console looking thing,it was mostly white with golden details.it also had a golden ring with spikes peaking out at the bottom as if to tie it to something and three buttons.
“Well…”Juliana said,even as she had no idea.
“ Digivice linked”
There was a bit of a pause between the three.
“I think that’s a Digivice,General!”said Mandy.
“I think that’s pretty evident”Mori responded.
“Digivice…?”juliana looked at her bracelet “eh…?”
“Sure seems like it,General.”
Juliana tapped on the screen of her bracelet,a violet screen greeting her as she checked the contacts section.
Rei itsuki
Those were the words that made up the extra name on the Digivice right under penny’s.
Curiously she tapped the name,the cracked screen of the reactangular Digivice lighting up with the words Juliana Leslie is calling you.
“Well,looks like there’s another person in the club”she picked up the broken Digivice and put it into her pocket.
“So,what are you goin’ do ‘bout this new soldier,General?”Mandy perked.
“First,we fix the broken Digivice,second,find out who this “rei itsuki” is,and third…i dunno we battle him of somethin’”
“Good idea,General!”Mandy yelled out with a smile

Wally woke up to the welcoming sight of a girl with blue hair,white dress and blue tight and seemingly no shoes holding an apple.
“AHHHHH!”wally jumped back with a scream,successfully waking up gallade and dorimon.
“Wakey wakey eggs and bakey!..well,actually we only have apples.”the girl put the apple on his lap,gallade looking fully ready to throw her across the room.
“Jovi!”Michael sped down the hall”I told you not to bother our guest!”
“But Mr.guest needs breakfast”the girl (Jovi?) responded.
“Yes,but you can’t just stand over him while he sleeps,didn’t we tell you this last time…”
(Last time…?)
“Well,big brother,be sure to call Jovi if you and Mr.guest need anything.”with that,the girl skipped away.
“Sorry,my little sister,Jovi,can be a bit…weird.”michael helped wally up,wally noticing that gallade was giving the door of which Jovi had walked away from a death glare”mom made toast downstairs,we can talk later,but right now I need to help the professor with something,Bye!”
Wally looked on as Michael walked out the door.

Wally grabbed his mega stone and phone(it was 3:52 p.m….huh.),looking at the unread messages that were sent and the time.
MagicalMay:wally’s dead
BugLover:We’ve already discussed this,he’s with his parents
MagicalMay:no he isn’t
MagicalMay:I just checked with dad they said he was gone
ContestNoContext:weird
ContestNoContext:me n Vera r gonna check around hoenn.
BugLover:he’ll be fine,he isn’t going to just disappear off the face of the earth suddenly.
ContestNoContext:are u sure?
BugLover:just wait until he reads this.
MagicalMay:I’m gonna join lisia on the search party.
MagicalMay:like that if he’s dead we’ll at least find his body.
BugLover:May!

Wally sighed.
Wally looked at the broken Digivice in his hand. if he could just fix it…
wally looked back into the red egg that laid in the bag,and then back at his phone.

Wally looked at the toast that laid on the table
“Y’know”dorimon whispered”you don’t have to eat if you don’t have an appetite”
“No,no,I don’t want to be wasteful”
…
“Wally,Don’t blame yourself over spilled milk”dorimon smiled(a rare occasion because of him reputation as the aloof hermit,but a necessary one to cheer up him up)
“But this isn’t spilled milk it’s-“dorimon only steered back,worried.
That worried look found itself onto Wally too.
“I…I just hope that it won’t find me here”Gallade put a hand on his shoulder”...thanks”
Their moment,however,was ruined by a slight knock on the door.
“how can I be of your assistance,fellow customer.”michael stood at the frame of the door,now changed out of the grey shirt and sweatpants,now in a dark button up,shorts,and a yellow hoodie,a headband,with goggles resting right on his headband.
Wally slightly recoiled in shock,”oh,uh,alright,let’s go to my room to discuss”

Michael looked at the other boy,eevee resting on his head”so….what’d you wanna talk about”
Wally wanted to talk about something, just that Michael had lacked an explanation on what that said something was,much less how he got here without waking up at least one person.
so naturally Michael had a ton of questions.
The fact he proceeded to pull out an egg certainly did not help.
“...do you know what digimon are?”michael paused at the green haired boy’s question.
“... digimon?”
Wally took a deep breath,as if unsure of anything he was going to do.
“Here”wally handed him the egg,eevee tilting her head at the seeming new friend.
“It’s…an egg”Michael said,looking blankly at wally.
“Yep”wally looked like he was about to have a panic attack,looking as if he could faint at any moment.
And then a crack appeared.
“W-“right as he opened his mouth to answer,the egg split in half.
coming out was a little worm shaped slime with greens eyes and a red spike on top it’s head.
Michael only stood in place,looking at the blob.
“Uh…Michael,meet your new partner for forever,fufumon.”wally gave awkward smile.
Michael set the blob down,falling to it’s(his?) level.
“Oh,you’re not screaming,that’s nice.”michael darted his head to the voice in question,recoiling back.
Dorimon jumped down from the bed and onto wally’s arms”calm down,there isn’t anything to be scared of….right now.”
“....You can talk?”his words were met with a nod.
“Yep,I can very much speak,just like you do”dorimon replied blankly
Michael slowly found himself processing the situacion,fufumon rubbing himself against Michael looking somewhat happy.
He looked directly at his partner.
“Look,I know it’s a lot to handle,but...”wally paused.
Michael slowly looked up,a grin forming on his face,before he sprinted towards wally at full speeds.
“what’s a digimon?whats the name short for?are they like Pokémon?hold up,I need my notebook.”
Michael rushed out of the room,bolting to his to get his notebook,passing his mom on the way.
“Tell.me.everything.”
Wally just looked in shock
“you’re not…scared?i mean,it’s nice you’re not scared-just that most would be kinda-“
“Scared?SCARED?why would I be?this is a brand new opportunity to make grandiose discoveries and you think I’m SCARED?”michael stood there,pen and notebook in hand,ready to ask any questions,fufumon probably having no idea what’s going on but still imitating Him,and eevee deciding that this was something he was going to deal with later and falling asleep.
“Well,wally,outta answer questions”dorimon looked at wally.
Wally looked at dorimon,only being met with a blank expression,“Uh…”
And…
“Michael!the professor needs you for something!”michael heard the voice of his mom call out.
“Mom!i’m in the middle of something important!”michael turned around,his notebook still in hand.
“Michael don’t ignore your responsibilities!”he could hear his mom call out”and that can wait for later!”
Michael looked at wally.
“I-it’s fine,we have all th estime in the world,hehe”
…
Well that was obviously a lie.
Michael only sighed”come on,let’s get out of here”
“H-huh?”
“Usually I wouldn’t do this,but if we run fast enough,then we can avoid all the scientist”michael took wally’s hand.
“I-but why?”wally said.
“Didn’t you say something was chasing you?”Michael said.
“I…?”
“I heard you say something about a thing finding you here,and last thing I’m letting happen is a guy die when I could’ve prevented it,even when I’ve only known for a few hours”michael put a hand on wally’s shoulder”...also I want answers now,and either way you’re gonna give them to me”
“I-“
Michael didn’t need a response.

Mr.kaminko’s house wasn’t the place that Wally wanted be in(albeit he wouldn’t fancy anywhere ending in “house)
After Michael beat some Chobin guy in a battle they decide to sit and have some tea,dorimon,fufumon,and eevee being spoiled by chobin(“Chobin wants to pet the little worm””that’s not a worm,Chobin!”).
The tea Table was quiet,the only sound were the sips of tea(or was that coffee Michael was drinking?),the other boy still vibrant with excitement(yep,definitely coffee).
The silence was an overbearing presence in the room,something that was basically waiting to be broken.
“You,uh,wanted to ask questions,right?”wally finally said.
Michael took a deep breath,the grin that rested on his face now being pushed down for a more serious expression.
“What is it, like,that thing you mentioned”
Wally started slightly shaking,he expected this.
“I’m…not quite sure,i know it’s trying to kill me,but that’s really all I know about it.”
“So you know it wants to kill you,but you don’t know who it is or the reason?”michael tilted his head.
“I…i think i have a motive,it’s because they might want to kill dorimon for some reason-“
“So that’s why they want to kill you,they want to get dorimon and want to kill you because your his trainer?”michael tilted his head,then turning to furiously write down whatever.
“Well...not exactly”wally said”there are…other reasons”
“Which ones?”michaels lunged forward,Mere inches between their faces.
“Well,i…”wally paused,realizing that he probably won’t be able to say anything without sounding insane.
Michael seemed to recognize the fact that wally was scrambling for words,leaning back.
”I’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff,y’know”
“Huh?”
“Look”Michael put his hands on the table”I’ve seen a lot.sure,today might be slightly out of the norm,but I’ve just seen plenty of stuff,wild Pokémon in this region included.so just throw me with whatever”
Wally paused”...whatever?”
“Yep,”Michael’s grin made a comeback”whatever.”
Wally took a deep breath”so dorimon and I are reflection of each other and he can’t be killed unless I am”
Michaels michaels face went from a grin to a look of intrigue“well that’s not the answer I was expecting,please elaborate.”
“Well..”Wally said”long story short,digimon come from the digital world,their world being a reflection of ours,and-“
“So dorimon is a reflection of you.”
“Ah-well,uh,yeah-“
“It’s not that hard to assume,really”Michael rested his head on his hands”I’m just wondering why you came to a barren dessert like Orre,especially for someone like me”
“Well,it’s because of fufumon,it’s a long story but-“
“Hold up,if dorimon is a reflection of you,does that mean that there’s a reflection of me?”
“Well yeah,and it’s-“
“Fufumon!”michael stood up from his chair”it’s fufumon isn’t it?”
“Yeah.”wally watched as Michael sat down,seemingly in deep thought.
“You came here…to give fufumon…to me.”
“Yeah,and-“
“And you need fufumon for something,and the egg didn’t crack until I touched it,so you came here,so I can crack the egg,because only the person the digimon is a reflection of can do that….”
“I-in the real world,yes-“
Michael seemed to process the information.
The silence came back,wally only watched on as the door swung open.The room stayed silent as the door quickly opened,both heads turning.
“the world is ending!”the chobin guy stormed in,frantically waving his arms around.
Michael sighed and stood up,getting greeted with eevee jumping on him.
Michael and Wally both swung their heads towards him,eevee jumping on his trainer.
“Chobin what the heck”Michael gave him a look of confusion,standing up while dropping eevee on his head and grabbing Chobin’s shoulder to keep him in place”why are you running around screaming like that?”
Chobin shook,looking like he’d seen a ghost“Michael!the world is ending!”
“I-what do you mean by that!”
“The sky!the sky is red!”
The words made wally snap out of his confusion and freezeThe sentence made eeze “the sky is…?”
Dorimon and fufumon rushed in,fufumon pushing himself against Michael,dorimon jumping on wally.
Both rushed to the window,Cho in panicking frantically on the floor.Wally,check the window!listened to dorimon,ing
Indeed,as chobin hadd said,the sky was indeed,pink.
“What the…?”Michael first reaction was confusion,contrasting wally’s horror.
“Oh…oh no…”
Suddenly,a white wave made it through the sky,and only seconds after…
“Is that a portal?”michael slightly squinted his eyes as a red crocodile Like figure,rainbow smoke coming out of its nostrils,blues scales climbing its bac as showed itself fullyk,came out of the portal.“…Huh?”
Michaels eyes widened.
“Oh,that the thing that’s chasing you!”he said in understanding,only a second later,seemingly as it all sunk in,his faced matched Wally’s “THAT is the thing chasing you!?”“Ooh,THATS the thing that was chasing you!”michaels face turned into a grin,and then he turned to wally,his face morphing to match his....THATS THE THING THATS CHASING YOU.”
Wally paused for a few second,still processing everything
“..Yep”
Wally and michaels stared for a few seconds.
“Let’s leave”
“Yeah,”Wally eyed the portal”let’s do that”
Wally took michaels arm,grabbing fufumon and dorimon and bolting out the house,eevee still being held in her trainers arms,the readying an attack.
Suddenly,they were stopped by a big tail. crap.
“W-what is that thing?!?”wally yelled out.
“Aren’t you supposed to know?!”michael turned to Wally,then turning at the creature,who was ready to torch them alive”well,I’m not dying today”
Micheal,as suddenly as the appearance of the crocodile,took out a kitchen knife and chucked it at the creature just as it opened its mouth,hitting it in the eye,and sprinted while giving wally’s arm a death grip,eevee shifting slightly,both running under the reptiles tail.
“Why do you have a kitchen kni-“
“This is Orre,most people’s life motto is mug or get mugged,you need to be prepared”
Both boys kept running until the portal was right in front of them,there coming Wally’s second portal trip of the day.

Light slowly faded into Michael’s eyes.
“…do you think he’s alright?”
“I dunno,Wally,I don’t know anything because,y’know,you’re being so vague?”
“Don’t be like that,May,I’m sure Wally has a good explanation.”
“Or maybe he’s as clueless as we are…”
“Surely that isn’t the answer.right,Wally?”
“I…”
“Oh my god he knows nothing”
“Hey!he’a waking up!”
Michael opened his eyes,just barely being able to process the situation at hand,four figures coming into sight.
“He’s okay!”said a tiny blue creature with a V on its forehead.
“I think that’s evident”said a weird looking caterpi.
“Mister,you might want to go back to sleep,these people are weird.”said a creature identical to the first one.
“Hey!don’t call us out in front of new company!”the words came from a girl with brown hair,blue eyes,and a yellow and blue outfit the looked fit for contests(and….fangs?).
“I mean,it isn’t completely false” Michael turned to a boy with a weird hat and a orange and black t-shirt,with a dark blue denim jacket.
“I don’t think she was refuting it”a girl in blue contest clothes,a cape and sleeves that looked to be tailored to look like wings,and mint green hair(like Wally’s) pointed out.
“I wasn’t l!just sayin’ that if where introduced to everyone as “the weird people” they might not want to hang around”
“Fair point”Michael turned to Wally,who wore a grey shirt with a purple button up sweater,and white scarf wrapped around his neck.
“What..?”
“Oh look!someone’s awake!want to tell us anything?”
“May stop being salty about him knowing more than us,Wally will tell you later”the boy with the hat sighed.
“Says the guy who’s worn the same shit every year since we first met”
“Wha-how is the related!?”
“I…sorry about them”Wally whispered in his ear”they bicker like an old married couple”
“I have no idea what’s going on”Michael sat up.
“Neither do we,Mike”say the may girl.
“Weeell,that doesn’t mean we should be rude,may.”the girl with the wing selves put her hand on Michaels shoulder,giving him an energetic smile“he-ya,I’m Lisia hoshi,hoenn’s one and only idol.nice to meetcha.”
Lisia extended her hand,Michael taking it with a smile,despite still having no idea what was going on ”Michael Schmidt,nice to meet you”
“Anyways,”Lisia turned to may and the other guy”shouldn’t we introduce ourselves?”
“Ah!almost forgot,heh”the boy gave a sheepish smile”Brendan birch,researcher.”
May twirled before snapping her fingers”May Tamai!aspiring idol!near and here!”
“Great introductions everyone!”lisia’s smile was wide and open “now let’s give him and Wally some time to rest.after all,it seem like Wally and Michael had a long day yesterday.”
“Wait-yesterday!?”michael snaped”what the heck do you mean yesterday?!”
“Oh,me and may found you and Wally yesterday on some trees”Brendan said”you seemed unconscious so we just decided to bring you guys to my place,Wally only woke up a few hours ago”
“I slept through almost an entire day…”
“Actually more than that!”said the worm”you slept more than an entire day!!”
Michael paused.
“Anyways,as I was saying”Lisia grabbed Brendan and may”you two should rest”
“Uh..alright”
“Great”
“Wait a damn minute!”may yelled out as Lisia dragged her away”I didn’t get answers-“
May was cut off by the door slamming.
“Well,that was weird”Michael laid back down in the bed.
“Well,knowing them,you’re lucky that everything went alright when we fell from the portal”
“Yeah…wait a second,”Michael looked wally dead in the eyes”….where are we?because clearly you aren’t from Orre,and your friends are here”
“Oh..uh,yeah,we’re in…hoenn”
“Oh,makes sense after that hoshi girl called herself the number one idol of hoenn,just wondering how we here a fast”Michael said
“Portal,remember?”
“…oh,right”
Michael laid down back on the bed.
“Look,I know you’re confused,and I’ll explain everything right aw-“
“Do you have a phone?”
“..huh?”
“Do you have a phone?”
“Well,yeah”Wally took out his phone”why are you asking?”
“…can I call my mom?”michaels asked.
“Oh!uh,of course!”handed his phone to Michael,who quickly dialed his mom’s phone number.
“…huh?who is this?look we’re busy and I really don’t know how you got my phone but-“
“Heya mom”
It was a few seconds before he got a response,of which he quickly ushered Wally to take a few steps back.
“…Michael?”
“You might be wondering why I’m calling from a number from hoenn”
“MICHAEL TERENCE SCHMIDT WHAT HAPPENED?!”
“Honestly,I have no idea”
