   Summary

   Galadriel is living in a remote village in the rugged Sierra Madre where she has been brought to live with her ex-boyfriend, Halbrand, now revealed to be Sauron, a man she hunted for years, seeking justice for her brother’s murder. In the aftermath of her abduction, Galadriel’s attempts to find a way to free herself turn increasingly desperate, dark, and destructive, heedless of how much harm she does to herself, as she seeks to exact revenge, at any cost, against her captor.

   Back in New Mexico, Elrond is on mandatory administrative leave from the police force after his wife was attacked, preventing his efforts to find not only Galadriel, but Celebrían’s assailants. Help arrives in the familiar form of his twin brother, Elros, who, working south of the border for the US Consulate, promises to aid his plight.
