    Dave wasn't expecting the whole alien thing to affect him much, but when Jade decides to become the head of the welcoming committee he ends up meeting a whole lot of aliens. And the more he gets to know them the more batshit insane his life becomes, which says a lot since his life is already pretty fucking strange.
    Karkat wasn't sure what he was expecting when he came to Earth---it was his idea for all of them to sign up to go. He certainly wasn't expecting the utter ridiculousness of Human Romance.
